This has to be one of my favorites, I'm just a huge Jim and Pam fan.

Wow!! That was amazing! I felt like I was reading off actual scripts from the show. Especially loved the Jim and Pam ones! Really great writing, you should take up script writing. Hope to see more.

I meant sorry to review so late!

Author's Response: Hi, Sudoku! Yes, as you can tell, I have not been on this site in quite awhile. Thank you so much for the kind review! I do inch ever closer to writing a new one but then usually something comes up and I forget. I had promised two of my buddies on the Life In The Office forums that I would. I better hop to it! Thank again for the review. I'm sorry I'm so late in responding!

This is by far the best story I read in this site. You wrote the characters so well. It's unfortunate I found this story at work, then I become an addict who said one more chapter, then one more until the last chapter. I'll make up for it tomorrow at work.
I love all your C/O and my favorites are usually the ensemble chapters. It seems you haven't written any for a while. I hope the new season can bring you new inspiration.
Sorry to review your late, I'm a new fan of the Office.

AWESOME. I wondered if these were made up! Glad to hear they are not. My grandfather has had wacky sayings my whole life.  Maybe I'll write a book too one day. :-)

Author's Response: You should! A friend over on the Life In The Office Forum site recently read "S!%# y Dad Says" and despised it. I was just laughing at his post. Yours would be, no doubt, MUCH better! And thanks, I'm glad you liked it!

I LOVE when your cold opens pop up in here, Kev! They are always so hilarious! I hope inspiration strikes you again soon! I think I may have to go back and read these again for a good chuckle!

Author's Response: Aw, thanks! Yeah, it's been a while... I'm trying to get back into the swing of writing these. When the season starts I'm sure I'll be more inspired. Thanks again!

Kev!  So glad you're feeling inspired.  This was a gem--so funny.  Great characterizations.  And did I say it was funny?  It was funny :D  Btw, my dad would have been 89 in June.  A toast to both of them :)

Author's Response: Wow! Definitely, Nan! I know they both had quite an effect on us. And thanks, I'm really glad you liked it!

Yeehaww - when I saw you'd written a new one, I was grinnin' like a cat eatin' bumblebees and I up and opened it faster than fresh grass through a goose. I loved the character Jo (yes, I'm from the South) and of course Kathy Bates, and this is perfectly in character.
Also, I love the sayings. I grew up with my grandmother (who was born in 1887) and she was a wealth of these. Every once in awhile I'll use one and my son looked at me one day and said, "Where do you GET these? Are they for real?" I just smiled. My personal fav of my grandma's was "It don't amount to a fart in a whirlwind." It applies so very often.

Thanks for another hilarious Cold Open. We've missed you this summer - you've been scarcer than hen's teeth, and your pieces are finer than frog hair.
And if you stay gone again this long, I'll jerk a knot in your tail.

Author's Response: LOL.... Jazzy, those are GOOD ones! (I'm stealing the "Fart in a whirlwind" one... lol) You're really making me think of my dad with these. And I'm glad you thought these were very "Jo". I heard her voice when I wrote them and they just sounded right. Her Talking Heads sounded like Jo to me, I felt pretty good about her "Voice". I'm glad to see you liked. "Finer then frog hair"... lol! Thanks again!

Glad to see you haven't deserted us, Kevin.  I loved all the "Jo-isms."  I could hear Kathy Bates speaking as I read.  I love that they've now been passed on for three generations too!

That book is hysterical, BTW.  If your own dad wasn't like the dad in the book, one of your friends' dads certainly was.  :)

Author's Response: Thanks! No, I haven't deserted MMt... just harder to get time to write,,, and harder to be inspired. We'll see what this season brings (which should be the last in my opinion... no MIchael Scott?!?!?!?) And I'll have to check that book out. It sounds funny. Thanks again!

Love your dad's sayings! I especially like the buzzard one! ...And it's nice to see someone else including their dad in their story. :-)

Author's Response: Gotta honor them somehow, right? I have to catch up on Cardiac Care, I haven't been on the site in awhile. Good stuff. And thanks!

Bwahhahaha. You are a genius. Thanks for improving my Monday morning about 3,000%. I snorted tea when I read this:

DWIGHT
No! No... I can....
(beat, then sigh)
Alright.
(low, peeking at Jim)
I have a small package.

Author's Response: Lol.. Thanks, Jazzy! Glad I could make ya snort!

Hmm... love sick days. I like the idea..... however, is there a sick of love day? Cause, I'm presently single, and therefore, am sick of all the Valentine's stufff.... gotta look into this

Author's Response: Sorry to hear that! But, just when you are completely sick of it... that's when someone pops into your life!

How dare you have a life? I'm so glad to see you have one of these up again. *cue Michael* Nobody writes Michael quite as well as you do, and Jim's talking head was hilarious as well.
Viaggravation, maybe? *giggles* Okay, maybe not. Awesome CO.

Author's Response: Ah, thanks Jazzy!  Viaggravation is not bad, I may use that for another C/O!

I have missed these so much! I was excited to see a new one. You never disappoint!

Author's Response: Aw, thanks! It's too easy to say TWSS there, so I won't. Lol...

Hey, Kevin!  Are you snowbound like me?  Always great to see a new CO.  Jim's convo re the cable was so cringe-worthy.  Oh, how I would loooove to hear that on the show...lol :D Great job, as usual.

Author's Response: Thanks, Nan! Yeah we got about 12 or 12 inches out by me... Oh boy. Now everything sounds like a TWSS... Lol...

BRILLIANT. God, you should write these for the show.  I loved every moment of this, and laughed out loud several times.  Jim's TH full of double entendre was HILARIOUS, and I love when he got some embarrassed about the thick cable in his bedroom....

This was perfect.

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I wasn't sure how this was, it's been a while since I wrote one. I'm glad you liked it!

I love that Hank got involved. And considering Night Out, 15 wasn't a bad deal. :)

(and 2 minutes late isn't a big deal! Maybe the light just took too darn long to change.... or maybe I've been 2 minutes late to work a bit to often)

Author's Response: Lol.. yeah, me and you both. Thanks!

Yeah, that 'attempted murder' thing tends to hang around.

Author's Response: It does, doesn't it? So unfair... : )
