This is spot on Michael, and makes me feel nostalgic for the times that we thought him and Jan might actually make it work.

Author's Response: Yes! I mean, it was hilarious and horrible how it really went down, but I truly was rooting for them. And “ spot on Michael” is a lovely thing to say, thank you!

This "After the first time, he knows the right answer." made me snort!

And this "Number of obstetrical visits to which he accompanied Jan before she forbid him to come to any more." also pretty awesome.

And the end makes me smile. Even if I am scared at the thought of Michael with a baby.

Author's Response: I think the whole idea of Jan and Michael going through a pregnancy is a mix of hilarious and terrifying (not to mention raising the actual baby). I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Oh, this is just lovely!  Number 4 is my favorite, although #2 is close behind.  With #3, I wonder if Jan just had to know because she thought if it was a boy, it would be like Michael?

What a nice idea, and nicely done. :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I thought number 4 was sort of funny, myself. Can you imagine the kinds of things Michael would say and do at the OB's office? It boggles the mind. Thank you for reading and commenting!

*squees!* This is so adorable! Best line ever:

9. Number of times Jan has asked him this week if he still loves her now that she is so fat. After the first time, he knows the right answer.

That's soooo Michael.

Author's Response: Isn't it? I just can't stop laughing at the idea of Michael trying cluelessly to deal with hormonal Jan. Thank you so much for the squee!

Awwwww!!!  How sweet would Michael be?  Just like this!  Okay, so a little dumb, too, but so sweet.  nqllisi, this is just like a delicious little truffle all wrapped up in pretty foil.  Love.

Author's Response: Oh, what a sweet thing to say! I think Levinson-Scott babies would be the funniest of all the babies. Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment!

at least the “declining” RSVP from the attorney representing her mother and sister was on lovely stationery.

LOL! And yet "Ouch", too. So very Jan.

I loved number 0. :) Thanks for a lovely story.

Author's Response: Well, she does have a litigious past with her family, right? Heh. Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Aw that's really sweet! I love fics that show what a good guy Michael really is, and you did a great job with this one.

Author's Response: Thank you! Deep down, he's a sweetie, but I would absolutely hate to work for him. Thank you again!

This was so Michael and Jan - sweet and funny and a touch crazy with such cute details!

"4. Number of obstetrical visits to which he accompanied Jan before she forbid him to come to any more."

Author's Response: "Sweet, funny, and a touch crazy," exactly describes Michael and Jan. I'm very pleased you thought I caught a little bit of that here. Thank you so much!

Lis, this is a fantastic piece!  I love Michael and Jan as parents-to-be. You've captured their idiosyncracies so well. Of course Jan would HAVE to know the sex of the baby, and Michael would be swept away by the wonder of it all.
I totally wouldn't mind if there was a follow up.....

Author's Response: Hee, I happen to know a lot about pregnancy right now, but nothing about babies (yet). So maybe a follow-up will have to wait a few months! Thank you so much- I'm so glad you could see both of them in this piece! Thanks for reading!

nqllisi--This was GREAT!! I love fics that look at Jan, but more than those I love it when they look at Michael and Jan together. I'm wild about this clever format you've used here, and I'm still laughing about this:

9: Number of times Jan has asked him this week if he still loves her now that she is so fat. After the first time, he knows the right answer.

Fabulous! --CH

Author's Response: Thank you! The idea of Michael trying to navigate Jan's pregnancy hormones just makes me giggle. Poor guy. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, too!

There are so many little spot-on character elements:  "something he can actually do something about", "after the first time" (HA!), "forbid him to come anymore".  It's spectacular how well these two come across in what is essentially just a list.

Author's Response: Hee, thank you for responding to my pathetic plea. And also for your comments! I really liked coming up with the "extra" stuff in each line to convey their personalities. I tried to make this not preggo-general, but Michael/Jan specific, and I'm thrilled that you got a sense of that!

Michael/Jan baby fluff!  Yay!  We need all the flavors of fluff right about now.  I think Michael would be over the moon with joy to be a daddy.

Author's Response: Thank you! I think so, too. As much as I love the idea of Jam-babies, The Office is a comedy, and I think Levinson-Scott babies would be funnier. Terrifying for the poor things, but funnier. Glad you liked my fluff!
