Omg, this needed to be written. That maneuver of Jim’s in that episode was just too wrong to be left unaddressed. And you managed to show his very earned guilt AND get back at him. “Like a dog that had finally caught a car” is one of the most brilliant lines I’ve read all week.

Go Pam! She is smart. Haha! He can't get away. Totally love it!

Author's Response: Yep she is, she knows her Jim.  Thanks, Emily.

Such a cute twist!  I loved the "Pam said you'd be right back" and the SNFS!

Very good, and I wouldn't put it past Pam to do that. I love how she tricked him...great story!

This was great! Really cute, and kind of what I imagined what would have happened. Very well done, and I didn't even mind that it was kind of short. :D

Um yes. That would have been a far better way to play it.

Awww!! Clever clever Pam.  I was never bothered by Jim's attempt to leave, like Jenna said, "every man for himself"

I loved that you brought the "party" metaphor back, I thought that was so clever.

awesome :o)

I'm pretty sure I love this. Well played indeed. I love that she made sure he wasn't going to leave without her! That's awesome!

Amazing.

Author's Response: No, you're amazing!  That's a sweet review. Yeah, our Beesly wasn't taking any chances.

See, it's because of something exactly like this that I wasn't worried during that moment. In fact, I really sorta wish that this was part of the episode itself. Would have made a nice stinger on the end of that scene. Nice job.

Author's Response: Thanks, now get back to writing the next episode, I mean chapter, of the amazing race story.;)

The way Jim's night was going, this probably would have happened if he had gotten out the door.  Thanks for shedding a little more humor on this situation involving our not-so-perfect Jim.  It was a fun read

Author's Response: A fun read is what I was aiming for, so thanks. And we can only hope this would have happened if he'd left. Otherwise the party would be mad at him and we wouldn't want that.

Girlfriend, FTW, again.  Nicely played, Swedge.

Author's Response: Thanks. Of course, in the show Jim could have simply told Michael that Pam was his ride home or used some other easy excuse. It really made no sense that he couldn't find a way to get her to go too. But if they don't have to be logical, why do I? That's my excuse anyway. :)

You're more than welcome. :)

So, Jim didn't get too far, did he?  In outsmarting, it's Michael 2, Pam 1, and Jim 0.

I love this: "He hadn’t planned further ahead than getting outside."  To use an Office quote "It all happened so fast."  Suddenly, he was outside without Pam, and...without his keys. ;)

Nice job.

Author's Response: It was not a good day for Jim. He needs to go back to Acme Road Runner school.
