Almost a decade later I'm pretty sure there's no point in hoping you'll finish this, but it really is a lovely version of the two of them and it did end on a cliffhanger. I will say that I kind of want to throttle Pam when she doubts that he's interested after he flies back to London. But...it is actually kinda in character.

Man... what I wouldn't give to see this story continued and finished. It's a very unique story on this site yet so compelling for many reasons, not the least of which is that while Pam became brave enough to move her life to a whole different country and pursue what she loves, personality wise she still seems to be ummm... stunted maybe? She allows fear to completely reign as far as her telling, or rather NOT telling, Jim her feelings. The one night she was thinking to herself, let him make the first move and then I'll tell him how I feel. Yet when Jim makes a HUGE move, first he wastes no time in calling her when he gets home, can't seem to be able to bear being aways from her but then after enduring a terrifying plane ride on his way home from London, one that had him vowing no more planes, he ends up turning arouns, ON BLIND FAITH in Pam, and returning to her in London. Pam, I'd say he certainly made the first move, now it's your turn. I hope that maybe in discussions that we didn't get to 'see' here, maybe Pam explained the situation with Simon to Jim. If not, she did certainly tell him she was 'kinda' seeing someone so I am truly hoping that Jim is going to be willing to hear her out about who Simon is and what he is doing at her home. I tend to believe that Pam would probably freak out and run away when confronted with this situation but I just see Jim, especially with all they shared the night before, as being more level headed and willing to listen to explainations. Oh, I don't think I said, the other thing Pam seems like stunted on is she seems to have allowed Simon to treat her carelessly, much the way she allowed Roy to do the same thing for years. She makes up uscuses and pardons behaviors that are bad, even going as far as allowing him to cheat on her. I hope Jim now being there will remedy this. I know you said you should be able to wrap it up in just a few more chapters so I am sincerely hoping you will continue this for us to the end. I really REALLY am predicting that Jim is going to relocate to London until Pam is ready to come back home. In thinking about how this could be resolved I realized that you had said early on theat DM was opening a division or something in London... perfect solution to their problem and hey, you couldn't get anyone better to head up the new division and really make it work and I'm sure that David Wallace HAS to know that AND I'm sure he'll also know how dedicated he is to Pam given the fact that he got on a plane and flew there on a whim (heck not just flew there, flew BACK there after having JUST gotten home from there) and my money is on Wallace not wanting to chance losing an employee as valuable as Jim. Please finish... PLEASE!!!CCC(yep begging and I'll beg MORE if it'll help! Your whole style of writing is somehow very unique, in a very good way and I just really want more.. plus a resolution to this story! I mean, you can't leave Jim standing at Pam's door wondering who Simon is forever now can you??? THAT would just be cruel and we don't want to be cruel to Jim... we love Jim!) PLEASE... PLEASE!!!

Wow. I have just discovered this fic and I'm LOVING it! Really wonderful imagining of a different JAM universe, set in a fabulous city. Love love love what you're doing with the characters, and please give Simon his marching orders ASAP!

On another note, being Australian, I'm especially enjoying the change of setting. London suits them well, and I really like what you've done with Pam being an American resident there (of course she'd refer to a faucet rather than a tap!). I've contemplated what it would be like to pen a fanfic about Jim's mythical visit to Australia - one without him driving between Cairns and Alice Springs in one day for example! - so this has got me thinking even more. Seeing how you've successfully placed them in London, I can see it's more possible now.

Please post again soon - I'm hanging how to see how it ends.

Author's Response: Hey, InternationalBusinessTraveller - you mind if I call you IBT for short?! Thank you so much for reviewing. I really appreciate it. I'm so pleased that people both in and outside of the UK have responded positively to this story...cause I'm kinda taking some liberties here ;) Re the faucet inclusion - I actually wrote 'tap' first time round and then when I read it through, with my UK to US filtration glasses on, I spotted the oversight. Now...about your fic idea - have a bash at it. I love the idea of Jim driving along, admiring the stunning Aussie scenery, all the while missing Pam and wondering if she's married yet. *Sigh* Really, write it down, post it and join in the fun! BA

Author's Response: Hey there, Hannah-Halpert! Am psyched that you are into this story. I'll let you into a little secret...Simon will get his marching orders...but I can't tell you when! Thanks again! BA

How have I not read this story before - my fellow londoner, I love how you have brought Jim and Pam to our beautiful city lol.

eeeeeeeeep =)

Author's Response: Awright, Hannah_Halpert! Wow, I think I just channeled Dick Van Dyke! I'm chuffed you like my story. It's just so much fun to imagine Jim and Pam in London, ain't it!!!

Okay, I know I just reviewed Ch 10, but I had to point out a part that I particular liked: 'As if feeding on the attention, he became bolder still. “Hi”. He offered quietly...' That's so English! In what other country is saying 'hi' quietly rather bold? ;) (I know he was being creepy, I just thought the juxtaposition of these sentences gave it a particularly English feel, hehe.) Carry on! :)

Author's Response: Hi, norsk_heksen! Thanks for your second review...this one made me chuckle. BA

Wow! I don't normally read AU fics, but London caught my eye, because London and Jam are two of my favorite (or should I say favourite?) things, and I thought, how could I pass up a combination? I'm so glad I didn't! This story is so excellent! I love that Pam is living in Camden -- that's near where I lived for half a summer. And perfect for an artist. :) I have such great memories of London, and it just gives your fic something extra special to have the personal touches of mundane London life, like bus numbers and tube lines and such. And of course, your Jim and Pam are wonderful! Now get kicking Simon's sorry arse out of that bloody flat! ;)

Author's Response: Hi there, norsk_heksen! Thank you, thank you, thank you, for taking a chance on my story. Like you, I'm not an avid reader of AU fics and so it's great that you decided to give this one a try. It's so nice when readers are familiar with the locations in the story - esp Camden, which is one of my most favorite (see what I did there?!) places to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. Re the kicking of Simon's 'arse' - am working on it, well, not 'it' exactly, as we speak :) Thanks again! BA

Grrr. I just did this once and the internet ate it. Trying again. I so love what this story chooses to be, BA. There are so many cool little bits, but I think my favorite in this chapter is how Pam's afraid she won't convey the depth of her feeling in the "normal" kisses. That strikes me as something she might worry about at this point. You've done a great job pacing this, too. I can't wait to read the next chapter and I hope somebody tosses Simon out on his ear - Jim or Pam either one would work for me. Brava, and please write fast. *grin*

Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing, jazzfan! Sometimes the internet hates me too :( I also liked the idea of Pam not trusting that her kisses would adequately convey her feelings and so am tickled pink that you thought this was in character. I'm working on the next part...can't promise that it'll be done quick time though. Sorry! BA

Great job!  I definitely like the beginning better.  So, who's gonna tell that loser Simon to get lost ... Pam or Jim?

Author's Response: Hi, VB! As to the question of who should tell Simon to get lost...hmmm, I'm giving it some thought as we speak! BAx

BAx, it may take you a while, but, boy oh boy, is it worth it.  First and foremost, I love this story so much, and it just keeps getting better--sexy, tense, warm--I could go on and on.  You convey such passion between our favorite couple, yet, true to form, such uncertainty and frustration.  They know they have something but just don't know what to do.  Mmmm...delicious :)  And you even threw some drama in for good measure.  I will be ever-so-patiently waiting for more.  Well done, you.

Author's Response: Thanks for sticking with me, NanReg! Am so pleased you like this chapter. I hope the small injection of drama didn't seem too contrived...I'm kinda worried about that aspect of the story. I'm not going to promise that I'll update soon but I can promise that I'm working on getting the next chapter together. Thanks again! BA

"tangled and synchronized" Sigh, ahhh. Another amazing and beautifully written chapter. Thank you for the update!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for reviewing, MelBal ! Am glad you like my story. I was worried that the wording above might sound a tad erm...emotionless, and so I'm pleased to hear that it worked. Hope you like the next part. BA

You know, I remember reading the first chapter of this and being intrigued, then somehow losing track of it. (My bad.) So, I just caught up...and it really is infectious. I love London, so am loving the London-ness of it all and this last chapter hit such a heartfelt, sleepy, sexy, satisfying note. Looking forward to the concluding chapters. (I've sometimes thought of setting a fic in Paris, so this is inspiring too ;-)

Author's Response: Hi there, Colette . Thanks so much for your review; I’m chuffed you liked this chapter. Now, about that Paris idea of yours... que les sons merveilleux!

I think the temp went up about ten degrees here at my place while I was reading that description of the basketball game. Shew Lawdy! Also, being a jazzfan, I keep hearing the lyrics to A Foggy Day when I read this story. It's wonderful. Please continue.

Author's Response: Howdy, jazzfan ! Thanks for the lovely review; so glad you liked the chapter and that the basketball game flashback worked for ya! Ordinarily, jazz doesn’t float my boat, but I think I’ll check out that song you mentioned. Hope you like the next chapter...it’s mainly told from Jim’s pov. If I can do half as well with Jim’s voice as you’ve managed in Someone to Watch Over Me , I’ll be one happy camper.

Okay, I'm going to leave a comment I should have left before, but it's a confession of sorts. The last time I was in London, I saw did every. single. one of these things except for the farm. Does that mean I'm related to Dwight? *is skeert* Also, Sweeney Todd may well be my favorite musical ever. "Have a little priest?"

Simple: first, the Tower of London, then the London Dungeons, then the Imperial War Museum, then 221b Baker Street, then 186 Fleet Street and on Monday I am going to Cogges Manor Farm Museum in Oxfordshire and finally, on Tuesday night I have arranged for Michael and I to take the Jack the Ripper tour.

Author's Response: Hi there, jazzfan - now, would being related to Dwight be the worst thing in the world? Thanks for your 'confession of sorts', it made me chuckle! BA
