I've been seeing this on the recent page for a while and thought I'd give it a shot. I really enjoy it! :)

Author's Response: Thanks for giving it a shot - hope you continue to enjoy! :)

Love this story, so far, LC. But is Jim ever going to propose? Please, please, please, pretty please?

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Mountaineers02! If I answered that question, though, it'd defeat the purpose, so read on! :)

The 50's Prime Time Cafe is one of our favorite WDW restaurants.  My husband still has fond memories of a big slab o' chocolate cake and an ice cold glass of milk : )  Such a fun choice for a group meal.   I don't know why you cringe at the ending of this chap.  I thought it was very sweet.  Dwight's "Pooh" pic is priceless.

Author's Response: Thanks! I don't know, it seems so...gratuitous and cheesy. But whatever. :) The Prime Time Cafe is on my list of places to eat next time I go - my parents were firm believers in no sit down dining at Disney and I've only been twice without them (it's so damn expensive). And I want Dwight's Pooh drawing on a shirt. :)

Pam's is great, Dwight's is hilarious, and I must say, Andy's is kinda cute. : )

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I was rather proud of them. :)

There was many a funny line in this chapter, but the most Jack-esque one is...

“Hmm,” Jim provided, clearly not trusting his voice with anything more complex.

Speaking of which, how's that collaboration going?

Author's Response: Thanks babe, and it's going well. :)

I love the drawings!  Dwights is awesome. Another great chapter.  I like the end bit.

Author's Response: Thank you! Those drawings were a pain in my rear to do, but they ended up all right. :) And Dwight is the shite...hey! Poetry! ;)

This was chock-full of Jack-esque lines, but this one stood out and was (for me) the clear winner:

Oscar: (outside MuppetVision 3D) It was great. The Muppet Show reminds me a little of our office, you know? Chaos and stupidity reign supreme, but probably pretty entertaining to watch. (He listens to a question from off-camera and considers it a moment. ) If I had to cast our office with the Muppets? Hmm…Dwight would be Gonzo. Michael’s a little like Fozzy Bear. Andy…Andy’s kind of like Miss Piggy, don’t you think? Loves to sing, prone to violence… (He listens again.) Jim and Pam…? They’re the two old guys that sit in the balcony and heckle…you know…

The Andy/Miss Piggy line KILLS me.

It's a tie! And the winners are:

And for the record, there are plenty of women that have no issue with toys. (The left corner of his lips quirks upward disturbingly. ) Of any kind.

And...

Dwight sat up as if a string attached to the top of his head had been yanked violently.

This story is the Dizz!!! (Like Disney and shizz kinda mixed together...? Maybe?)

Author's Response: Thanks, and yikes. Just yikes. That was rough. :)

Bwah -- the Indy hat.  A classic.

And Ed Debevic's is a riot -- I immediately thought it it when you started to describe Aunt Kat.

Not at all surprised at Dwight's evil Pooh Bear.  Nice job, LC.

Author's Response: Thanks Lisa! Jim in an Indy hat...mmm...Pam is a smart chick. ;)

The winner for chapter 5:

Kevin: (standing at the bar) It may just be the glasses, but I think Judy’s pretty hot. I know I’ve got Holly back home, but you know what they say. (He smiles sneakily and nods. ) When the cat’s away, the mouse will play. (Kevin pauses a moment to ponder that metaphor; as he does his smile makes a run for it. ) I’m not sure if I’m the cat or the mouse.

Author's Response: Mr. Comment loved that line, too. :)

It was a close race in this chapter for the most Jack-esque line, but here's our winner:

Michael posed as he so often did when he knew he was about to say something brilliant.

I do realize these are buttons, but come on, I wrote paragraph upon paragraph of what I loved about this on FF. Go read those reviews to refresh your memory. :)

Author's Response: The fact that you have reviewed at all, let alone a SECOND TIME, is appreciated beyond measure. You're the best. :)

You already know what I think, but I want to keep up with my Jack-esque lines for every chapter. Here's this chapter's winner:

The creepiness of the phrase was dulled some by the tenderness in his voice, but the smile that spread across his face next was enough to make anyone uncomfortable.

Onward and upward!

Author's Response: I felt Jack-like when I wrote that, actually...mysterious and talented. Then I snapped out of it and realized I'm neither that mysterious nor that talented. ;)

Um, I'm starting to think we should be best friends. Between your love of Disney, and choosing that song from Muppets Take Manhattan, (which may be on my top 10 movie list), I am loving this story more and more every time I read it. Also, I think that almost-proposal would have been the cutest thing ever.

Author's Response: Um, we can TOTALLY be friends, if it's a fact that you a.) love Disney, 2.) love the Muppets (and The Muppets Take Manhattan is hands down my favorite!), and iii.) always say such kind things about this story. And as for the proposal, I envisioned that jewelry box before finding out it existed, so I was thrilled as all get-out - glad you liked it! Thanks again! :)

LC, I sincerely doubt that you have a frigid, bitchy heart.  That song?  Absolutely adorable.  Such a sweet little proposal idea.  If Pam only knew what she missed out on!  These details are way above and beyond the call of duty, and I really appreciate the effort.  Great chapter, as always.

Author's Response: Thanks, Nan! Dundie All-Star and I always joke that I claim to hate fluff, but I secretly love it as much as everyone else. I just offer it in smaller doses. :) I loved that proposal idea, and while nothing tops my own that Mr. Comment provided, planning lots of ideas for Jim was fun. :)

I'm really enjoying this! Your enthusiasm for Disney and your story is infectious and cute! Also, anytime anyone mentions anything Mi/Detroit related I get major dorky excited, so bonus points for the Tigers hat!

Author's Response: Thanks so very much! And as a Michigander (Michigoose?), myself, I've gotta throw a not-so-subtle shoutout in there every now and then. If only that shoutout had helped our Tigres have a better season...grr... :)

Oh. My. God.

I'm not sure that I'm ever going to be able to get rid of the image those lines have burned into my brain.

Really getting a kick out of your story. Makes me want to visit Disney. You have great descriptions...and I really like your dorky Jim, he's adorable. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm (disturbingly) pleased I've left a lasting impression. And more of dorky!Jim coming soon... :)

Haha, Dwight and Andy in this chapter were so funny. Can't wait for more!

And for the record, there are plenty of women that have no issue with toys. (The left corner of his lips quirks upward disturbingly. ) Of any kind. Oh man--you went there.

Fact:  just finished making my Disney dining reservations on Tuesday night.  Fact:  Tower of Terror is my favorite amusement ride in the world.

Loving this.  Have a great weekend, Little Comment.

Author's Response: Oh, I DID go there. Holla? Anyway, Nan, I want to hear all about your trip to my "homeland," if you want to share. Because of my mobility issues (and yeah, my terrible fear of broken elevators), I've never been on ToT, but all I've heard are amazing things. :) Thanks as always!

I just love living a Disney experience through the DM gang. It's so much fun. And those turkey legs that Stanley was eating? Those gross me out so much! I usually go in the summer, and watching someone eat a turkey leg at noon on a 95 degree day makes me squirm. (I much prefer the Mickey-head ice cream bars). I am very excited about the rest of this story :-)

Author's Response: Thanks! You know, I've never had one of those turkey legs...mostly because, like you said, they never seem appealing on a sweltering day. Thank you for the review! :)
