I, too, loved the line about Jim being obsessed with being love. And while this was Jim/Ryan, I really enjoyed the uneasy almost-disjoint between Jim and Pam.

Author's Response: thank you!  yes - i want to give jim a lot of credit, but i fear that he's more about eternal love than something real and concrete.  i know the destruction of jim and pam - especially because of RYAN - is a lot to swallow, and i appreciate the feedback.

Well, I for one LOVE Jim/Ryan and would really like to read more of it from you!  Not enough people write them as a pairing!  I especially liked the line about Jim being obsessed with being in love, because he totally is, and he and Ryan should hit it.

Author's Response:

thanks so much!  agreed, there is not enough jim/ryan out there and it's quite a fun pairing, i enjoyed writing this.

yes and YES!   thanks again for the feedback.

Author's Response: well, thank you for the compliment. i don't think i see them together either!  but it was a hoot to write...

Eww. I don't get why several writers here occasionally toy with Jim/Ryan action. I've seen it more than once! Notthatthere'sanythingwrongwiththat... Oh-kay, so, kudos for courage, yes - but sorry, I get really uncomfortable seeing characters put in situations it seems like they'd hate. Maybe b/c Ryan seems so conflicted about women (loves/hates Kelly) in general he lends himself to this. Sorry, guess I'm not very adventurous. It is well-written and thank you for listening!

Author's Response: well, first of all, thanks for writing.  this my first foray into jim/ryan and i'm not sure why i wrote it... except that i'm interested in jim as a character, in  whatever form he could take.  truth be told, when i started to learn that maybe i wasn't straight, i had a lot of feelings, it was a very confusing time.  so i subscribed some of that to jim, just for kicks, to see where it might lead.  i was also writing in a certain formula/style, just to try it out.  it's fine that it doesn't work for you - i hope you take a look at some other writing i've done.  thanks again for the feedback!

Yikes, Emily...where did this come from???  A+ for being so bold.  Although the subject matter is definitely not my cup o' tea, I always appreciate your writing.

Author's Response: you know, not sure where it came from - but i'm pleased that you gave me an a+ :)

Wow.  This was heartbreaking. Extra heartbreaking, actually. But very well done.

PS You might want to fix the word "can" here as my first thought was "can ride, what the heck is a can ride/"

"They shared an awkward can ride to Jim’s house"

Author's Response:

this is what i get for being an unbeta'd mess... just fixed it.  thank you!

extra heartbreaking? yes!  :) seriously, thanks for the feedback.
