Okay, this was the BEST first fight fic I've read and I couldn't NOT comment... This is really incredible. Seriously, in every way. Just... wow. Thank you so much!

I've been loving this so far, but THIS chapter was hillarious and so Jim and Pam!

Good lord you are a talented writer, just so damn smart with these characters.
This whole series has so much brilliance but I have to say chapters 1, 5, and 8 are my favorites but ch 7 (the fight) is just so incredibly well done. A true standout.
I truly hope you are still writing. If you ever feel like writing for jam again just know there are plenty of readers here and even a good handful of writers to keep you company as well.

What a great chapter. Totally in-character. It actually felt cathartic for me as well; I always wished that they would hash things out on camera at some point.

every single one of these little stories is absolutely SPECTACULAR!
keep them coming! :]
you should do one about jim or pam getting sick and the other one taking care of them! just a little suggestion, if you're taking them!

Author's Response: Aw, thanks so much - I'll do my best! :)

Wow, very detailed and realistic story telling! Though I'd hardly expect less from you. You're a gifted writer, to say the least. And, yeah, the topic did hit pretty close to home. Sure wish I had my own Jim...for many reasons, obviously, but for the support. You conveyed this aspect of his character so well, even though he was reluctant to do so. He did it anyway. What an honest story!

Author's Response: Thank you so very much for all the kind words! I tried to stay as true-to-life as possible here, so I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I absolutely love this. Jim is selfish and hating himself for being that way. Pam hates that her whole life seems to be deteriorating in front of her and needs a sanctuary. Just another beautiful example of how great their relationship is and why they are going to make it in the long run.

Author's Response: Thank you! I think it's hard to know the "right" thing to do in this situation and thought it would be interesting to tackle it. I'm really glad you liked it. :)

::sigh:: I'm in love with Jim.  Jeez...first, I think this is a completely plausible explanation for how this all happened.  Also I loved Jim's amateur psychoanalysis of Pam's family dynamics and how it relates to her time with Roy.  But then the last bit where he's figuring out how much she'll regret if she doesn't let her dad stay...wow. Again -- I'm in love.

Perfect.

I missed this story!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! It was a tough one to write, and write realistically, so I'm really happy you enjoyed it.

This was incredibly well written. You write both of them so well, and the dialogue is right on. Bravo.

Author's Response: Thanks a lot! I always have an easier time writing Jim, so I'm happy you think I tackle both of them fairly well. Thanks again!

This is kind of awesome.  Why can't they be on camera all the time so we can see this sort of stuff?

Nicely done, as always, Little.

Author's Response: Oh, Lisa, I know...but then again, if we saw everything this would be a lot harder to write. ;) Thanks as always!

Oh what a wonderful picture you paint! I feel like I really understand that episode's story line and even Pam a little better (or at least, the canon for Pam you and I have discussed). The choices you made about them having a very traditional family totally made sense with FOB's (that's Fancy Old Beesly) demeanor, and even little details like why Pam's mom liked Roy so much. And I loved how you were so real in their struggle to decide if they should let her dad stay there, how really neither of them wanted to but they felt that obligation... very believable. Two thumbs way up!! :D

Author's Response: Thanks so much, friend...this was sort of uncharted water for me so I'm so glad you thought my ideas got through clearly. I was really nervous about it. And as for keeping it real...I always try. Thanks for thinking I succeeded. :) You're the best, as always.

Oh man. This was a repeated hit to the grief bone, but it was so well done, I can't be too upset about it. This is just so achingly real, and I love these glimpses of "grown up" problems that every couple has. This may be outside your comfort zone, but trust me, you're doing just fine (TWSS!) Well done my friend!

Author's Response: Ooo, sorry - can I get you some ice? :) Thanks so much for your kindness, as always; I tried to stay realistic while leading up to resolution we all know happened, so I'm glad you liked it. Muchas gracias, mi amiga!

This was really well done. I loved how you handled both Pam and Jim's emotions regarding her dad comign to stay, delicately and realistiically. Jim's thoughts on Pam regretting it were, again, nicely insightful and altogether, the tone to this chapter was held together very well. I always look forward to these adventures. Thanks for another one :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much for sticking with this! Your comments are all so kind and appreciated. :)

This was just what I needed to brighten my day. Ever since Stress Relief I've been waiting for a great back story on Pam's family and how Jim and Pam deal with the situation together. This is absolutely wonderful. Every word rings true. The characterization is spot-on. The story is beautiful, sweet, and very believable. And I love how you present her parents relationship and contrast that with what Jim knows. The little details about the dishes are a nice, subtle touch that gives us more insight into Pam's past.

This story feels SO right that I would love to see more of how they deal with Carl at their house and how Jim continues to be supportive. I'm being greedy, I know!

Really, I could quote you your whole story back to you to point out my favorite parts. So without being too repetitive and leaving you an epic review, I'll end by saying this story is truly beautiful. Please don't make us wait long for your next update!

Author's Response: Thank you! I felt the same way...I wanted to know more about this situation with Pam's parents that was clearly a long time in coming, and the stress it had to be putting on both her and Jim, and their impending wedding. So, for better or worse, I wrote it. ;) Thanks so much again!

Little Comment, I was just starting to really, really miss you...and here you are again!  This was so welcome on a miserable Monday morning.  I truly love your writing.  You're always so insightful.  Jim's initial hesitance and annoyance is perfectly realistic.  It's been my opinion (and general opinion, too, I suppose) that Pam's relationship with Roy was patterned after her parents' relationship.  It was good that you didn't really make Pam's dad out to be the bad guy.  He's just a normal guy, as is Jim.  They just happen to be quite a bit different.  I enjoyed reading about Jim's thought processes and his recollection of his parents' relationship.  I could ramble some more, but let's just say I love it all, because I really do.  Thanks for brightening my day.

Author's Response: Oh Nan, and here I am, gone MIA again...I promise I've been working - just ask Dundie All-Star! :) Thanks for your kind words on this one...it was tricky, and definitely out of the box for me, but I'm so happy you enjoyed it so much. You know I always appreciate it!

I was excited to see a new part to this, and I was not disappointed. Definitely worth the wait. Jim's thought process through all this is perfect - his initial honest reaction and then tempering it to do the right thing. It's especially sweet knowing what happens afterward. Another great job.

Author's Response: Thank you! I had a hard time thinking that they'd be so open to Pam's dad coming to stay, so I wanted to portray that decision making (or as you said, thought process), as honestly as possible. I'm so happy you enjoyed it. :)

woah. that was intense. but still really good. i like that Jim isn't perfect here, and neither is Pam. most of what they're fighting about is ridiculous, but it's real and insecure and honest. great job :)

Author's Response: Thanks a lot! I tried to keep the fight as realistic as possible but let both of them cross the line on what's fair to say - they're still learning, after all. :)
