But also, I've had babies cuddle up next to me, all nestled all snuggly.... god, that feeling totally makes up for all the screaming snotty messes they are when they are awake.

What a beautiful story here, Dedeen! So sweet and perfectly written. I just loved all the sweet inner thoughts and the final bit when Jim got home was just perfect. I'll say it again, perfect! (sorry, that was so cheesy, but I ran out of better words... hehe). Nice job!

I love this little walk through Pam's life. Some of the lines totally just struck me. When the baby hooks her arms around Pam's neck and Pam thinks, "I love being her mother." That was so sweet; so much fun to think about Pam figuring this motherhood thing out. Loved Pam comparing Cecelia to Jim throughout the story, too. Great, great job. I hope you're planning on writing more stuff with this kid around.

This was very sweet. I like all your descriptions of Cecelia's exploration in the mall. I like the relaxed, lazy pace the story takes. Pam's ambivalence about a second child morphing into that lovely close.
