That breakup scene was rough and so very realistic. Very nicely done. And I couldn't help but love Jim's daydream at the beginning. It was lovely.

Great song choice! That moment when they're looking at each other and they both KNOW is killer. And then she drops the friend bomb on him and my heart breaks for both of them.
And, ugh, this is so Roy.

This is such a wonderful depiction of that famous scene. Without being overly wordy you accurately captured how both of them (and Karen) reacted to Pam's moment. Wow. Really well done.

I wouldn't say you're at all "rusty with your writing!" You've captured S3 Jim very well. Don't come over here very often anymore but, when I do, I'll be looking for those chapters from Pam's perspective.

Such a pleasure to read all three chaps in one sitting.  Keep writing!  Your characertizations are really excellent.  I could envision everything as I read.

"Nonetheless, as selfish as it was, he couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief at the news."Oh, Jim, Jim, Jim.  Tough being in love with your friend, eh?  Another great chap.

Really well done, Pam Beagsly.  Jim may be frustrating to write, but you really captured him here.

You should do some more of these! Like maybe their wedding reception, or a honeymoon story, or their first date, or Phillip's birth.

Author's Response: I would love to do some of those stories, especially their first date, but they're such BIG moments and I'm not sure I could do any of them justice. Thank you so much for the review! :)

Great job telling the story behind that drawing! I love these glimpses into the scenes we never got to see, and your characters are spot-on. Bravo!

Author's Response: Thanks! I love that the show references to small moments between Jim and Pam and never shows them. It leaves a little more to our imagination. ;) I'm glad my characterization was accurate because it's what I pay most attention to while writing.

Love, love ,love it! Awesome job! True to characters and you really did a great job writing the season 3 angst.

Author's Response: Thank you for the kind review! It really means a lot that you say that about how I wrote the s3 angst because I just started writing another fic set in that season.

How have I never seen this little picture, great story behind it too :)

Author's Response: I know, I learned about the picture recently. It just made me love Jim a little more, if that's possible. Thanks for the review, I'm glad you liked it. :)

On my phone so I can't type much, just wanted to say how much I like these 2 chapters! Great characterization and great detail (the drawing I never noticed but nice catch. I love little things like that and I love that jim drew it). Anyways, looking forward to more. IMHO it fits the timeline well. I completely heard Pam's voice throughout. Keep going!

Author's Response: Thank you! I always considered characterization to be the most important thing in fanfiction, so to hear you say I did it well means a lot.

I liked it!  I thought you captured this moment for Jim very believably.  I like to think he had the courage to tell Pam about the interview and that she didn't just hear about it the next day.  I like the way you depict the news throwing Pam a bit off kilter but not leaving her despondent.  She's still on the adrenalin high of the coal walk and her confession and is radiant as she talks to Oscar.  I like that.

Strong close, too. Pam's smile seeming a "promise and a goodbye" is a lovely image.

Looking forward to more.

Author's Response:

I'm glad our interpretations match! :) I was quite determined to make sure Pam remained strong throughout the story. Of course she was emotionally affected when Jim said he was going to interview for corporate (why wouldn't she?), but I think she really had let go of him after the coal walk and was willing to accept whatever decision he made

Thank you for the kind review!

You didn't overdo it at all. That was wonderfully written. I hope we get to see more moments like these :) Get writing!

Author's Response: Don't worry, I have a long list of moments I plan to write for this story. :) Thank you for the kind review!

Not to bleak at all. A perfect insight to more of their conversation and thoughts after Pam's big confession. I am so happy to have this to look forward to.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad my interpretation of what happened after Pam's speech rang true for someone.

You did a wonderful job writing S3 Jim. He was so conflicted -- poor guy -- trying to move on -- trying to make it with Karen -- being around Pam all the time. I think you caught the exact truth of Jim on that night -- how did we live through the angst!! I loved your story.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! That's honestly the best thing I could hear about this chapter because I was really worried that I didn't capture Jim's emotions. He was so reserved during S3 that one can only guess how he felt half the time. And, yeah, the angst then was unbearable, but - thankfully for me - everything in this story from now on is going to be relatively fluffy (with only a dash of angst on the side because I can't help myself).
