I like the note in here about Jim's relief at least having done something - this is such a devastating night for him that that obviously gets most of the fic focus, but I do think there's probably a part of him that was relieved he finally said something.
Author's Response: I think so, too—while her relentless denial sent him off to Stamford to try to turn his life around, at least he wasn’t hiding anything anymore and carrying the weight of his unspoken feelings with him. Devastating, sure, but freeing as well. Luckily, there was always more to be revealed.

I can't believe there's only one review! This is amazing! I, too, believe there is more than one kiss --- if you compare the two scenes, they are different! So this is fabulous!
He doesn’t mean to tell her that he’s wanted to do that for so long, but he can’t keep it in. His heart is soaring.
I love his heart soaring -- that's exactly what's on his face in this scene. That's exactly what grabbed my heart.

Now sure how this has no reviews so I suppose I'll take the lead and add one! I'm a sucker for a good "what's going on in their heads during casino night" fic and this is great, the little parts you added are all very much in the spirit of that night. I know the JAM fic glory days are behind us but I still hope you'll consider writing some more as I've greatly enjoyed your fics! :-)
