Well done story. I can understand Jim's point of this, holding his feelings back to be strong for her. I did the same thing when my ex had her miscarriage.

“I’m sorry for scaring you” she said softly after a couple moments of silence. She shivered slightly as he gently grabbed her wrist and brought her hand to his lips, pressing soft kisses to each of her fingertips.

That's an interesting tale. Miscarriages are one of those things that one just doesn't talk about. Yet still a life has been lost and grief is an altogether appropriate reaction. That you don't shy away from it in this tale shows that such grief is a natural reaction. That Jim and Pam turn to each other there at the end is comforting to see and a bittersweet way to end it.
