Who knew punishing sex, make up sex, and first time sex could all be rolled up into one? Damn, woman.

I've been bouncing around this site trying to sample as much as I can and this jump landed me here. So glad I did because this was a thrill to read. The way you brought all the stuff I envisioned together into one succinct fic and that, well, ended where it ended, was all kinds of awesome. And I'm not usually one to get all hot and bothered over the steamy stuff but this I loved. Like others before me I also found the Dwight line to be as if improved by RW himself. The wanting to be put on Stanly's speakerphone so clever. The blocking of the sun, mwwahh. The don't let me get naked by myself love me some sex with a side of humor. All so good. I'm impressed you've managed to hit on so much of what it's taken me 9 chapters to get to and have them onto the third date (although I've had them having dinner whereas you have them having each other) so well done Glad I have this one added to my read pile although I'm sure I'll revisit again. Great stuff.

Much as I'd like to think their first date was all sunshine and rainbows and a planned prank against Dwight and multiple orgasms, this was a pretty emotional day for both of them, and they both have things they need to say - I can buy them having to have this out first, and appreciate the way you've written them doing so. (And having at least given them the multiple orgasms.)

This is SO good and SO believable. You really took us on an emotional ride and I am here for it! (Also why did I laugh out loud when Dwight said, "Hey, idiot, it's just a soda." Cause that sounded JUST like him.)

‘She just wanted to be naked, for fuck’s sake, not-‘

This fic is fantastic but that line absolutely killed me.

This Pam is absolutely one of my favourites I’ve ever read.

He. Left. THE SKIRT. On.
BT, never leave us again, ok? Please and thank you.

PS “Hey, idiot, it’s just a soda. There are far superior drinks..." was absolute perfection. The timing and the line.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I hope to not have a hiatus like my last one again and I’m so glad to have come back to a place that is maybe even more active than it was back when I disappeared! And I LOVE how many people are so thrilled with the skirt staying on. I’m so glad I could deliver! Thank you for reading and reviewing!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I loved that writing that little bit with Dwight!

There's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said by these eloquent reviewers. This was amazing. So much unique hotness. And also this phrase: "like a damn goblin". Omg, I laughed out loud! Please never stop writing like this.

Author's Response: I love that goblin line! I giggled like a loon while writing it. Thank you so much, I’m so glad you liked it!

Let's just get this out of the way right away - the best two visuals in this story are Jim's adam apple when he's drinking the damn grape soda, and then the whole "Jim rolls Pam's skirt up and leaves it there."

How fucking dare you. Okay, moving on.

I love this so much! You start right at 100mph with the two of them falling right back into the easy banter only to have it all come falling down when Karen comes back in.

(Sidebar: the sprinkling in of Dwight and him calling Jim an idiot and going into a diatribe of superior soda choices? *chef's kiss*)

I loved reading the progression of Pam getting pissed over the entire situation. The bits where she keeps throwing her phone and it keeps breaking? You describing her as a goblin? Jim's curt, but very to the point text messages? I'm here for ALL. Of. This. Oh, and Pam's inner volcano? Just kill me. All of this is too good.

The increasing level of "Well's" when Pam realizes Jim is mad too... god, it's so realistic and the whole progression of their fight from that to the end? It's too true. I can easily see this being how that first night (not first date!) went, and I gotta tell you - I don't hate it.

I was already dead at "goddamn this skirt" but goddmnit BT - He. Ripped. Her. Hose. Twice.

I can't even say anything about the actual sex part because its impossible to pick a favorite part but hey, on a personal level? Thank you for the image of Jim standing there with undone, low-slung pants and the V and ... really great job with that bit.

Ugh, and then they slide right back into the banter at the end and I die all over again. Thank you so much for this gift of a story. Truly.

Twice, BT. He ripped them off of her twice.

Author's Response: This is one of my most favorite reviews ever. You hit so many of my same highlights—the Adam’s apple, the undone pants, and goblin crouch, among others. And let me tell you, I think there was some divine intervention with the hose ripping. I was like “man I gotta get these hose off her” and then the smut gods descended to earth and whispered “have him rip them open” and I said “oh hell yeah” Thank you so much for your reviewing and letting me know all you liked about it! I definitely am in the mood for more MA one shots so stay tuned 😉

Yeah, no issues just skipping to date three. I mean just look at the number of stories here that have the post "The Job" date already at that number or past it for the two of them.

I can tell you had been doing your canon-viewing research with this one. Both "The Job" and "Fun Run." The fun witty banter between Jim and Pam over the soda's was just all sorts of fun. Stupid Karen, why did she have to storm in just then and ruin such a great moment. Still considering how brief that shot was on the show, you really did great job at expanding on the emotions of it.

That it would also effect both Jim and Pam with all the nervousness that it did was a really good way to fill in those brief shots. Considering the history between Jim and Pam and all the emotions pent up, it makes sense that they'd kind of get into it like that.

However in one of the best sit-com tropes, they immediately just fling themselves at each other. I mean that couch scene? Hoo boy that was hot. In all the right ways.

Speaking of "Fun Run," if that's what went down, I love the image of Pam in her talking head telling how she helped Jim get over the break-up and in her mind she's got that scene along with the rest of the night(s) playing through her head.

Great story as always.

Author's Response: I am absolutely adopting all of this as canon and from now on when I watch Fun Run, this will be exactly what Pam is picturing! Thanks so much for reading and leaving your thoughts, I’m so glad you enjoyed!

From summary alone this is 110% in the running to be my new favorite thing.

This cloud metaphor? You know I love a good metaphor. This is perfect, so perfect.

I am feeling all sorts of emotional over a can of grape soda so there’s that. They’re too cute. This whole loaded conversation is just wonderful. The double meaning flirting, ugh, my heart. And then there’s Dwight and I literally laughed out loud. Bless.

Could Karen... not?

Pam’s pacing, and the phone throwing. So damn relatable. Also, the mantra. So good. Exactly the right mood for the moment.
I am here for rage Pam. HERE.
This whole argument is so damn good. I kind of love that they’re getting all this shit out of the way before getting to the actual date.

Look. I got too caught up in the story to keep up a running commentary and that should tell you enough about how much I love it.

That last line. Seriously. How was this whole thing so brilliant?!

Author's Response: Jenna! Thank you so much! I am so glad that had so many parts you enjoyed. I had so fun writing this one and your review means SO much!

Oh good lord that was amazing. There were so many good parts I don’t even know where to begin. The grape soda and his reaction, the way he blocked out the light in the doorway, the skirt left on. OMG BT why do you do the things you do?

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I am so glad that you liked it. That doorway thing and the skirt thing are some my favorite parts too, so I’m so glad to see that so many of you guys liked them! Thank you so much for reading and reviewing, it means the world!

Thank you!

Okay, I adore the cute, romantic first date fics a lot. But I absolutely loved this with the fighting and feelings and then the want and need for each other. It was perfect. Amazing job!

Author's Response: I love those too! But I was rewatching Fun Run and thought “wow, Pam had to sit there and watch while Karen yelled at jim, wonder how that affect their first date?” And here we are! Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!

Okay first of all, your summary is perfection.
Second of all, I'm reviewing in one window while I read a second time because, well. It's necessary.

The floating is so cute.
The noticing of all of the things that Jim has said that are gravelly? I feel that on a spiritual level, girlfriend.
The little double entendre? Jfc. Please do that ALL THE TIME. "Revisiting an old favorite" OKAY BT I SEE U.
I would also like to mess up the hairdo. For science.
"Why did he even have to come back to Scranton with a girlfriend in the first place?" I mean. Same. You're asking the BIG questions here.
"Like a damn goblin." When I TELL YOU THAT I SNORTED--
Can I just say that I love that he was "too damn big" and blocked the sunset? I don't know why. I just love that visual.
"If she wasn't so mad she'd think it was hot as hell." Now THAT'S a feeling.
How did I KNOW that the steamer trunk turned coffee table would come back?
Uh. He left the skirt on. He left the skirt on and I think my brain shattered.
"This teasing little conversation needed to be over, like now." Now I'm *sure* my brain shattered.

See, I love that you took the little line about how Pam "helped Jim through his break-up with Karen" and had Jim come strolling in like "Damn, thought I could talk about this with my best friend but I GUESS NOT" and turned it into...well...u kno what u did.

"Let me know if you liked it" PLEASE. u kno.

Author's Response: AG, I love you and this review. All of your highlights are also MY highlights, are we sharing a brain right now? This means the world, thank you so much bb! So glad I could deliver!
