Oooof. Come on, Jim. Pam has you dead to rights - skipping the show and coming to the bar is messed up. Although again, I understand what he's doing here and appreciate him being more honest with Karen. He's in a tough spot - I do think the point you made about their friendship and love being tied together for him is a crucial one.

Interesting choice to change Oscar and Gil's interactions with Pam at the show to positive. I'm generally leery of OCs but given you said you considered Danny I definitely think a non-salesman is an improvement.

YES! This is the art show that Pam deserved. I was always so broken hearted for her when in the show, her hard work was overlooked or looked down on. After all that she went through and the strength it takes to rebuild your life, she deserved to have everyone from the office come and celebrate her! I'm so excited to see where this is going to go with Paul. He sounds like he'll be really good for her. I'm a sucker for a slow burn though, so I can't wait to see Jim's reaction as Pam and Paul grow closer.
Also, just wanna say that I love how you've written Karen in this. She's not being mean or vindictive. She's understanding, and caring even when her boyfriend is being a bit of an airhead right now.
Can't wait for more!

I am a huge sucker for slow burn too, but it's always difficult to keep Jim/Pam apart because thier feleings are just right there haha. But I am trying- wink wink. And I agree on the Karen part, I always found her nice and super mature.

Grrr, I wanted to hate this new guy but I can't. Though the emotions roiling around with Jim and Pam still seem as confused as ever. I'll say this much for this story, you're still nailing the fact that Pam and Jim are still scared to be completly honest with each other and because of that keep adding to hurt feelings.
On a more positive note it was really great to see all the encouragement for Pam's art show. Nice change of pace there.
