This is just a really charming family dynamic here. Well worth the high word count!

The Luckiest is another song on my Jam playlist and so I couldn’t wait to get there in the chapter but there was so much other stuff to love. I’m a sucker for family moments so this was all great. Loved the nickname Bug and the Vanessa in your story. And of course I loved that she gave him her art as one of his gifts.

Wish I could celebrate Christmas with Jim’s family but reading this chapter was almost as good.

HE PLAYS THE PIANO?!?! Okay. I’m on the floor. I need CPR.
But. I only want it from him.

Seriously though? PERFECTION right here my friend!! PERFECTION. Also, I hadn’t heard that song before, so I waited to play it until he was singing it? And uhhh I cried. So thank you for all of this you wonderful human!!!

Author's Response: Hells yeah, he plays the piano! 😆 I’m so glad you liked it!!

So there's a lot to love about this chapter. The description of the cabin is lovely. The kind of wooded hideaway that is rich in memory, love, and laughter. Wonderful to see Pam just fit right in with the Halpert clan.

Some things that stood out to me. Jim calling Vanessa "Bug." That's also my pet name for my daughter so that kind of melted my heart a bit.

Betsy insisiting on Jim and Pam sharing a room. A little surprising, but I'm sure space is also getting to be a premius as the family expands. Still it allows for some other Christmas cheer as you put it. Look at them sneaking around like their students. Very fun.

Pam's Christmas sweater! Just the kind of adorable cheesy thing that makes this Pam so wonderful.

The heart to heart Pam had with Gerald. Really cool that he would have that kind of discussion with her this early. However Jim and Pam are wearing their hearts on their sleeves with each other in the best of ways. In that sense I kind of get why Gerald would say all that to Pam. Nice touch.

Jim playing the piano by firelight was just all sorts of romantic.

All in all it was a lovely chapter filled with great holiday fun. Loved every bit of it.

Author's Response: I call my youngest Bug! :) Thank you so much for the review! I’m glad you enjoyed it.

You’re amazing, WW. I don’t know how you do it. I loved every word of this, especially Pam’s reaction to finding out that Jim plays piano, and their little confessional that they’re in this for the long haul. So freaking adorable.

Author's Response: 😭 You’re so nice! Thank you, lady! :)
