This story continues to be wonderful. Love the way their relationship continues to grow. It's sweet, natural, and lovely to read.

Great to see that Jim is the cool teacher. The line about getting a degree, very spot on. Same with teachers cutting students in the lunchroom. I remember my teachers doing that all the time and waving it off with a comment like that.

Kevin as the lunch guy is great.

The dance was lovely. Mainly because the way you describe their outfits. Jim seems very sharp while Pam comes across looking lovely.

The after-dance dance and kiss were the perfect way to cap off this chapter.

I'm going to quickly run out of jellybeans for this story, but it deserves all the jellybeans.

Author's Response: I think Jim being the cool teacher surprises nobody, since he’s just so darn likable. And we know he’s great with kids from Bring Your Daughter to Work Day. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the story!!

Of course Kevin would be in the cafeteria, cooking chilli! I LOVE it!
This was too darn cute! The lunch, the chaperoning, their sway-dancing at the end.
Michael and Dwight WOULD bring a chainsaw to homecoming. I mean, it TOTALLY goes with the event.

Cannot wait for more!

Author's Response: Haha I always wanted Kevin to be the lunch “lady” and then as I started writing it the chili idea came to me and it was just too perfect to pass up. Haha so I’m glad you liked it. Thanks so much for your review!!

Wow! Like, WOW!!

Okay. So their chili lunch together was all kinds of adorable. Pam's little slip up with "What about the teachers?" was so funny and cute and felt totally in her character.

And then everything with the dance was fantastic. I love how Jim convinced Michael not to use the fog machines. I mean, "I actually just read in ‘Cool Teen Magazine’ that fog machines are not ‘totally dope’ anymore. Can you believe it?" is freaking hilarious. And Michael has no idea that Jim is pulling his leg. The Michael/Jim/Dwight dynamic was spot on. You nailed that. The chainsaw bit made me laugh out loud.

And then, of course, the dancing and kissing afterwards was perfect and sweet and romantic. They're SO good together.

You're brilliant, WW. Absolutely brilliant.

Author's Response: 😭😭 Thank you SO much!! I’m really happy you are enjoying the fringe characters because they have been really fun to write.

I had a grin on my face the whole time reading this. It's so sweet and reminds me of my fiance and I in high school. I absolutely loved this!

I really enjoyed this story! The banter between Jim and Pam is so natural and resembles their characters so well. The story moves along swiftly but doesn't feel rushed. I look forward to reading more.

Author's Response: Thank you so much!!

I've been reading but haven't had a chance to review until now so this will encompass the last 3 chapters.

First off this story is just a delight. I admire so much the ability to put our beloved characters into different worlds and yet keep their essence the same. You do it well. The pranking from last 2 chapters was fun first with the playful Raphael then with Dwight.

I love how the characters are being introduced and their roles. Interesting choice with Roy. I was expecting her to still be involved with him but also happy for Jim she was not.

Love the little personal touches you sprinkle in too. Those are thing things that really make these stories come alive so keep it up.

I love the real lit influences, Hemmingway, Bradbury. How to Kill a Mockingbird. Hope to see more.

Author's Response: As an English Lit major myself, I can’t help but sprinkle some of those throughout, and I’m sure there will be more in upcoming chapters. :) I toyed with having Roy and Pam be together when she started teaching, but then I really just decided I wanted Jim and Pam together quicker and not to deal with that mess. 😂 But Roy still works there, so...stay tuned... Thank you so much for your kind reviews, always! They mean so much!

First, my favorite high school English teacher had a couch and this brought me right back to sitting on. Second, this was my favorite chapter so far! So sweet, endearing, I LOVE it!

Author's Response: I’m so so glad you are loving it!! It really makes me so happy. :) Thank you!

Delightful once again. We finally get some background on Roy. Glad to see Pam's not falling for him again. She may be nervous about teaching, but she didn't let Roy stop her from getting a good education and she's not letting herself get dragged back into something with him. Good job Pam.

Especially with the way the relationship with Jim is progressing. I know we'd all love it if they just leapt into each other's arms, but the slow buildup works too. Though even before the cute scene in the parking lot, it's lovely to see other hopeful glimpses. Like the TMNT poster on her computer. She's clearly got feelings for him and it's wonderful. The hug and cheek kiss highlight that nicely.

Kinda looking forward to see if there's going to be any football coach/basketball coach rivalry going on. Not just due to sports, but due to a certain art teacher. Nice way to start setting that up.

Lovely update as per usual. This story is just a ton of fun.

Author's Response: I am enjoying writing Pam with a tiny bit more of a backbone. Going to school, not letting Roy decide her life’s path, etc. And don’t worry, the slow building of Jim and Pam’s relationship will pay off soon. :)

WW, why did you almost kill me with talking about Roy?!

SO good. LOVED this chapter. Can’t wait to see creepy janitor Mose!

Ugh WW, you kill me.

I loved this update and as soon as I read "Anderson" I got nervous, but I'm so thrilled Pam is single and ready to mingle with Jim.

Author's Response: I’m ready to write some of that “mingling” so stay tuned! :)

Ok you took me on such a roller coaster with Coach Anderson, and thankfully I am off the ride! So happy he’s out of the picture (as a legitimate interest at least, wouldn’t mind seeing some Jealous Jim). I’d love a more in depth tour of the art room, or maybe the basketball court. And I hope there’s more Michael soon because you knocked it out of the park with his character. Please keep updating and please don’t tell me how hypocritical that request is. ;)

Author's Response: I’ll update if you do. ;) Hahaha thank you!!

This story is so cute! I really love the AU where they are teachers. I was that kid who loved school and didn't even try to hide it, so I still enjoy a good book/story in that setting. I had a good laugh when I seen that Dwight was the German teacher; definitely suits him. We had an agriculture class at my high school, so I could definitely see him in that setting as well - he would be too excited to talk about the beet farm.

I have the feeling Roy is going to make an appearance soon. I kind of hope not, I really want to see how J and P's teacher friendship/relationship progresses!

Anyway, not sure if any of this made any sense, but I'm looking forward to future chapters :)

Author's Response: I’m so glad you are liking it, thank you!! I’m a big nerd who loved school too, especially my English classes, so it’s been fun to write. :)

Haha! “Hot comradery” is hilarious! And Dwight was a hoot, of course. Or should I say a growl? Anyway, loved it as usual. Loved that Jim and Pam are already pulling pranks together. Can’t wait for more!

First Dwight prank of the year, I love it! I wonder though, how did Dwight realized they were switched? Something tells me he tried playing one in front of the class.
The Hemmingway quote just fits *so* well!
Oh Michael....

Great update! Love seeing these Goofy Goobers together!

Author's Response: Haha Dwight most definitely played it for his students on the first day, only to hear Jim’s gibberish German coming through the speakers. 😂 Also, I call my kids Goofy Goobers all the time! Thanks, SpongeBob. Haha

She quoted hemingway?!?!?! you're going to have to pick my swooning body off the floor. WW I love this. I can't wait until he's discussing literature. Ugh love love love

Author's Response: As a fellow English major, I’m so happy you’re loving it!! I think you will hopefully like what I have planned for the next chapter, whenever I get to writing it. :)

Oh that's just delightful. Love to see Jim so smitten with her. Makes one grin. Likewise she can dish it right back at him in more ways than one. Smart enough to quote Hemmingway to and English teacher and fun enough to turn the tables with SpongeBob. It's a great dynamic you've got going here. Though I would have loved to have seen an air-five across the hall at the conclusion of that prank. Just sayin.

Anyway, if you couldn't tell, I really loved this chapter. Looking forward to seeing how things progress now that the school year is upon them.

Author's Response: I almost added an air high five!! I just figured Jim only had so much time to get to the front of the room and begin talking to his class before Dwight showed up, so cut it and now I wish I had left it. Haha but don’t worry, I’m sure one will show up later. :)

Adorable. Love how Jim is constantly making up excuses to be near Pam. Feels very much like canon. Likewise with the teasing and banter they share. And a little mini-prank. Very sweet that this one with Pam as the target rather than Dwight is just kind of fun. Really loving their dynamic. You're doing a great job.

Author's Response: Thank you, Warrior!! I felt like this prank was more of a flirtation and a great way to ensure Jim some more interaction with Pam. But we aren’t done with the pranks, yet...

As a lover of TMNT as a child, that reference made my heart skip a beat. I love the prank, I love that he's being more forward, and I love that you're borrowing Jenna's style a bit for Pam's look--it's very very cute. I love this!

Author's Response: I don’t even think I meant to borrow Jenna’s style, but when I gave it a final read-through before posting I had the very same thought! Haha and side note, I made my own Raphael (the ninja turtle) costume for Halloween when I was in Jr. High. 😂

A Raphael poster is extremely lacking in my life now. I just, can’t tell you why...

Aw I loved their interactions here! I literally squeeled over “Just looking for an excuse to keep hanging out with you”

Can’t wait for her reaction to the TMNT photo too.
Yes, a BIG rookie mistake to keep your door open!

Great work WW, CANNOT wait for chapter 3
