Interesting... it did always seem like the likeliest option was that if Pam sought an arts career it would take her out of Scranton. Going to be fun to watch them try to navigate that together, and the way Jim's life has to change with hers.

Well, the feeling of the dullness and grey that can overtake you when unemployed felt all too real, and I'm glad Pam was able to break out of it and feel like she can start creating again. Feels like she might be through to the other side and starting to move her life forward the way she always wanted it now - can't wait to see it!

Jeez, what is Dwight's PROBLEM here?

Interested in seeing where you go with this. Not too common a theme in fic to see a Pam who's happily settled with Jim sort of thrust out of the Dunder Mifflin bubble by someone's choice besides her own. Seems like a ripe area to explore!

Always a nice image of Pam and Jim waking up in the same bed like that. It felt very warm and comforting. Yeah, that's rough that she didn't get that job. However I liked that she didn't just go for the receptionist job. She is made for more than that, and good for that even when dissapointed she realized that. The feeling of dissapointment rings very real. She was excited about it and it was a hit. However she still has Jim on her side and is a lot quicker to rebound than when she was let go from DM. Look at you showing off that growth Pam, way to go.

Good tactic there for Jim. He's still around, but not hovering. Thus she has the freedome to work on her own without thinking he's just over her shoulder. I really liked that. Shows maturituy on both their parts. Jim trusts that Pam can make her own decisions. Pam has the confidence to start branching out more. Loved it.

Then of course since Jim wasn't far away, he's right there to be with her when she comes up for air. Good job. So a little bittersweet this time around, but still showing a lot of growth on Pam's part. Loved it.

Very much a sense of Pam continuing to bloom in this chapter. I love that she's really going after this. And for herself. Jim is of course right there alongside her, but this is very much her journey. She has a the best of partners. The way she's getting ready just builds the confidence she's feeling and it's lovely to see all that.

I'm sure Jim misses her at Dunder-Mifflin, but I'm sure he's also very proud of the person she's turning into. Yet even with all the growth, she's still got the fun silly aspects that make Pam Pam. The signing into the broom handle was a great way to bring that out.

Can't wait to see where we go from here.

Author's Response: I always love how you catch very specific details. I really appreciate that you acknowledge them! They're my favorite aspects of the story. Thanks for reading and reviewing!

I. LOVE. THRIVING. PAM.
This chapter was just AMAZING! Again, I just love a thriving Pam, applying for jobs and all. I really hope she gets this one!

Author's Response:

THRIVING PAM = THE BEST PAM.

We love to see it!

First off, loved the Family Fued reference. Nice little detail to throw in there.

I'll admit I was kind of concerned for Pam at the start of this chapter. Sitting in her sweatpants binging TV all day long. The couch has a tendancy to suck one in and not let go.

But then, she breaks free and in one of the best ways possible. It's not Jim to call and say get off the couch. It's her returning to what she loves. Even though she's with Jim, she has her own strength and that showed that wonderfully. So the previous sitting around moping becomes the grief period for the end of one chapter, but now she's activly seeking out how to write the rest of her story.

Everything that follows just builds on that. Meeting Jim in the park, getting her place cleaned up, the dinner and dress for Jim. Just great ways to show she's ready to embrace whatever it is life will throw at her.

Loved it, loved it, loved it.

Author's Response:

I'm glad you caught the FF reference! I had hoped it was pretty obvious while writing it in there! I'm glad you're enjoying the updates! I really want to write Pam the way they should have written her in the show much sooner.

My heart was just aching for poor Pam as I read this. Poor Pam trying to do something nice.

The way Jim turned her day around made it better but I do hope Karma finds its way back to Dwight and Jim has something to do with it.

Good luck on your Nanorimo challenge!

Author's Response:

Poor Pam indeed, my heart felt for her as well.

So far the challenge is going well! Here's hoping for great results!

Okay, first off, Dwight is being a complete ass. I mean I know that's kind of his shtick, but seriously. And where does he even get that authority? Hiring and firing should be a Michael thing. I REALLY hope Jim does something above and beyond to get back at him for that.

Anyways, beyond my ire for Dwight right now, this has a really interesting set up. Good day to horrible day to great day. Loved Pam's thoughts in regards to her relationship with Jim. Lovely to see that in her personal life she's in a great place.

Skipping to the end, love that Jim is there for her. On one of her hardest days, he's at his best. Good job Jim. Then even better he ups the game with the proposal. Awww. Good job Jim.

So now here we go. What will Pam do? What will Jim do? Will he resign in protest? The future is wide open for them. Should be fun to see where it goes.

Author's Response: I did kind of make him into the worst person ever. It's a tad off from canon, but that is the beauty of AU! Thanks for the review! Always awesome reading yours.

My God, this was written so well! I felt so bad for Pam! I mean, getting fired for bringing in donuts a few minutes late? Come on(not that that is out of character). But I love the interactions between her and Jim. He’s so sweet. Keep up the good work!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for your compliment! It makes me so happy when people think I wrote something worth while. Dwight's just the ultimate jerk in this. I couldn't help it!
