"Come on, Pam," Jim said, jarring her back to the moment at hand. "It's just lunch, and it's my first day, so I'm buying."

"Really?" she asked, intrigued in spite of herself at the thought of going somewhere with him.

"Yep. The sky's the limit. Just as long as you can get it at Cugino's."

"Cugino's?"

"Is that okay? We can go somewhere else if you want." His thoughtfulness struck her, and she paused, automatically trying to remember the last time Roy had asked her where she wanted to go.

"No. I mean, no. Cugino's sounds great. Let's do it."
