Chapter 27 by Azlin

Her face felt frozen in a weird half smile, so she shook her head a little before responding.

"Oh. Um, thanks."

He was grinning that sheepish grin again, and she had to stand up and grab the yogurt so she could go throw it away in the kitchen garbage.

She leaned against the kitchen counter a minute later, still unsure about what had just happened. But something had definitely happened. And she couldn't keep ignoring it anymore.

Maybe that innocent, little crush that she had on Jim wasn't as little as she had thought. And it certainly wasn't as innocent.
