Chapter 5 by Azlin

"Yeah?" Looking down at the forms, he sounded almost shy. She wondered, momentarily, if he'd felt the same shock when they touched.

She answered lightly, "Yeah. Michael's just the tip of the iceberg around here."

He laughed outright.

"You think I'm kidding, but just wait."

"It can't be all bad."

He laughed again at her dubious look.

Sitting down, Pam tried to ignore the strange feeling in her gut. Their conversation had been relaxed... fliratious. Unbidden, a thought of Roy instantly halted her musings.

Jim finished the forms, said goodbye, and left.

Already the room seemed paler without him in it.
