Michael loved him. He wouldn't stop talking about Jim, his newest "team member." Jim was starting next Monday, and in the meantime Dwight was being completely unbearable to everyone. Obviously feeling threatened by Michael's enthusiasm for Jim, Dwight now spent most of his time trying to hoard all the existing clients for himself, ensuring that Jim would have to start completely from scratch.
