Member's Choice - “My father died, so I’ll need a few days.” She explained in an unaffected sounding voice that surprised even herself. The three other parties in the room were stunned into silence. Jim spoke first. “Jesus, Pam…” She stood with her back to him and addressed Michael as if Jim had not made a sound…as if Jim did not exist. It was the only way.
I just came across this and ended up reading the whole story at once. I kept wanting to know what happened next and it was just so well-written and heartfelt. I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading more of your stories. Great job!

A year or two before the cameras arrived, Michael takes the staff to the Poconos for a camaraderie event. Much unresolved sexual tension and angst ensues (uh, between Jim & Pam, not the entire staff).
I actually loved this chapter as an ending...it left me satisfied and smiling (TWSS!) In all seriousness though I think you did an excellent job of weaving in all of the major Jam moments and tying everything together. I never would have guessed that this story would lead us right to the season 3 finale. So perfectly JAM - thanks for this great story. I look forward to your alternative ending as well.

It's so surprising to hear people say they liked this ending - yay! The promise of writing the AU stuff is something I'm really looking forward to fulfilling, but this was my original vision - to take it and somehow try to make it plausible. Glad you're looking forward to the AU stuff as well!

You definitely got me hooked on this story. I can't wait for an update! I think you did a great job with the interregations chapters, really capturing the personalities of each character.
I'm starting to suspect the purse girl Katy because I can see Michael giving keys to even her...and she definitely knew Jim's car and apartment since she dated him....oooh. haha I'm probably way off but this story is awesome and I was so excited to see an update this morning. You're really keeping us all guessing!
A glimpse into the instant messaging history of Jim and Pam. Written with the intention of expanding on what we see on the show, as well as to tie up some loose ends. There will be a conversation for each episode through Season 3.
I think this one is my favorite so far. It seems very much in line with the way you would expect Jim and Pam to handle what was going on. The Jamaican Jan photo would probably be the one thing they could banter about most easily in this episode even with the storm cloud of karen moving in so close to jim looming above.

Nice, I like how Pam did notice the card before Jim lost his nerve and stole it back. I knew just what you meant with the golf pencil too - you fit so much in so nicely in such a short conversation.

I haven't been back on the fanfic site since it's been down and I was really happy to see this story was updated. I really enjoyed the first paper cut story too and now this one is really starting to get exciting. I like to think that Toby might be slightly evil so I like where you're taking this.
...but then Toby wakes up to the sound of Kelly babbling on about something and realizes it was all a dream - haha. Toby is one of my favorite characters and it's nice to see something go his way for a change, even if it's his last day on earth. Nice job with this!

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I thought having the dinner brought to Pam's would be a very intimate and romantic gesture on Jim's part and would also make it more comfortable for he and Pam to be more open about some things that probably need to be discussed. Glad you liked it.
This is an idea I've had for a long time. It is inspired by the very end of the Six Feet Under series finale (hence the title), and it seems that the 55 word style would be perfect for it. Each chapter will focus on a different Office character. 20 chapters are planned.

What a clever idea for a story. I own all 5 seasons of six feet under on dvd and absolutely loved the style in which they chose to end the series. I look forward to reading the rest of these .

I always love your stories. I like how you explored the different sides of Kelly. I've always noticed how she has 2 different voices depending on what she's trying to get out of the person she's talking to. The Darryl/Kelly relationship will be interesting and definitely a departure from the highschool-type relationship she had with Ryan. Kudos to you :sounds bear horn:
