10 I'm still fairly new to Office fic, but this is one of my favorites, so I was so excited to see an update :) This chapter was hilariously in-character and also very sweet. I'm excited to see the Halperts with their new baby, and I loved Pam's description of "what it feels like" at the end. Fantastic work!

I had never read this before, so I read the whole thing in one sitting and LOVED it. :) Everything is so real and believable, and the characterizations are spot-on. You really captured who they are as a couple and across so many scenarios too-- from sad to playful to sexy, and just... yay. Thank you for finishing this. It was so nice to just sit and read a well-written story all the way through.

Jim has been sick for most of his life. When he takes a turn for the worse he never expected Pam to be there with him the whole time.
Pretty AU from 2nd Season
I'm fairly new to Office fic, so I just read all 13 chapters. This story is very unique and in-character, and you do a fantastic job at conveying their emotions. I liked the way you showed how Jim's illness brought them together, and I loved that Pam was the first one there for him when he woke up in this most recent chapter. Lovely story. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next :)
Whoa, hey. Go ahead and re-post. It's your story, and it's not like it just got sad out of nowhere. I have a hard time reading sad stuff, but with all the happy fluff around here, it's always interesting to see how Jim (and/or Pam) might react in a less-than-ideal situation. I'm sure you put a lot of time and thought into writing that chapter, and unless you had Jim going on a shooting spree or something crazy like that (pretty confident that isn't what happened), I think it's fine to post-- Mother's Day or not. Things have been pretty quiet around here, so I would hate to have anyone discouraged from posting their stuff. Keep writing and keep posting. It's just fic, it's only for entertainment, and you shouldn't feel like you have to apologize for anything :)
10 Oh man. I was SO excited to see this updated! This is one of my favorite stories on here. I love how much Pam loves Ellie (singing her to sleep, even teaching her to sign 'feel better'.. so sweet), and I love how Jim loves Pam even more because she loves his daughter. Also... them finally, uh, sealing the deal? HOT. Well done, as always. Thank you for still writing :)

I was so excited to see an update of this! It wasn't what I expected, given where you had left off, but I loved it! Pam taking care of Jim (and later Ellie) was so sweet, and I loved the cuddling at the end. Very nicely done. I love this story :)
Author's Response: Mwahahaha that was my plan. I wanted the smut to happen, but I actually thought this was much cuter (for now ;)) with Jim being looked after by Pam, and for it to feel so natural to the two of them, you know?

Had to follow up the "Money" call-back in "Secretary's Day," obviously. And don't think that "six weeks" comment in the deleted scene got by this girl!10 This is totally what happened (initially typed "what went down," but I caught myself.. ahem). I loved the glimpse into Pam's thoughts and insecurities, as well as the little details like Jim's love for macaroni and cheese and hotdogs (adorable). You did a lovely job with this, as always, and I'm looking forward to part two.

I really liked this, but I have to say that I loved the descriptions of Jim interacting with the kids the most. A giggling Philip and a twirling Cece couldn't get any more adorable. And this part summed everything up perfectly: “I’m not mad at you. Not anymore. But just know that you wanted to break that,” she says gesturing towards Jim, who is loading two giggling kids into the grocery cart.

This will be a series of one-shots that take place after an episode, in no particular order, for as long as I continue to have ideas.Sorry it's taken me so long to review this; it is seriously perfect. I don't even know what else to say. The descriptions from each of their perspectives in the beginning conveyed their sadness, disconnect, and emptiness in such a realistic way. The contrast between their thoughts on their present situation and their reflections on past moments when they were so happy and in love just broke my heart. You really got inside their heads with these. And then the end.. YAY. It was sexy and sweet and so them. Thank you for this. I loved it.
It's been a while since I've watched some of these early episodes, mostly because I hate seeing them apart and seeing poor sadface!Jim. This was a really nice summary of his inner thoughts during those episodes. It makes me really glad he got his girl and really miss some of those early pranks. :) Great work!!
10 I was really hoping for some anniversary fic, and this is wonderful! I love reading interpretations of how Jim and Pam perceive parenthood since we don't really see it on the show, and yours here is great-- perfectly realistic and in-character, while also having some sweetness. I also liked their banter on the way to the restaurant (very cute), and last scene is just perfect (I'm picturing them looking somewhat like they did when they went to go sleep in the warehouse.. haha). Lovely job! :)
Author's Response: The hardest thing about watching The Office is that we don't get to see them perceive Parenthood. The little snippet in last weeks' episode gave me the idea for this, and of course, I love the idea of the two of them making their anniversary as simple as possible.

Ah!! I love the concept! As the series has progressed, I've always wondered what life would be like for all of them when/if the documentary aired. What life would be like, what network it would air on, how their lives would change, and stuff.. so I'm really looking forward to seeing where you take this.
I like the way you've set up Jim and Pam now that they're past the "honeymoon stage." I'm anxious to see how viewing the documentary affects their relationship.
Other than Jim and Pam, I loved Dwight's comments about being a "tv star." And, of course, Cece is adorable.

So many great little details in this chapter. Cece being shy like her mommy, everyone talking about the documentary at work (you have the characters PERFECT), and the documentary airing on TLC (I agree that TLC would be one of the most likely networks for this.. and of course, they would want a Jon-and-Kate-style spinoff of the Halperts.. haha).
Absolute favorite part? He leans against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest. “To remind me how pathetically in love I am with my wife,” he smiles warmly, a loving, almost lustful look crossing his eyes.
It’s a look she hasn’t seen in a long time. She hadn’t realized she missed the butterflies it’s giving her either.
Aww.. something about the way that was written just really got me. :)

10 Ahh! Wow. I love this! So sweet and so perfectly them. The descriptions of everything are beautifully written, and it flows so nicely. I also really like your little history of the Halpert house/yard-- from Jim's dad to young Jim and now for Cece. And Pam's art project? Eee! Adorable (especially after Jim stepped in to help)

Wow. Not only was this insanely hot, it was also very distinctly Jim-and-Pam. If Jim were an actual person, I'm sure he would still remember that night as if it had just happened, and because he is a dude, he TOTALLY would have gone for the do-over like this. haha Leading up to that, though, the way you wrote him broke my heart (in a good way) and made me really remember Casino Night. And Pam's reassurances? Lovely. As for her playing along with his "game" and the periwinkle exchange.. those were great, too. And very them.

They come off as super close to perfect on the show, even when they are having a tiff, and sometimes I think everyone needs some reassurance :) I appreciate the review so much!
10 Words are sort of failing me right now. This was really, really beautiful. Such a calm scene, and you conveyed Pam's feelings so well. It seemed very true to her character. I loved the way you ended it with her and Jim and sleep-talking Cece. So sweet. Just perfect. Seriously, every word of this is awesome.
"It'll be okay" had always been Jim's mantra. Was it true? Now complete.10 Oh, this was fantastic. Painful to read, for sure, but that's only because you wrote it so well. I love all the little details from the dryer to the macaroni and cheese to the kids' comments during storytime. I could totally see something like this happening, including the ways in which you have Jim and Pam handling everything. Very realistic, and I'm hoping for a happy ending because I hate to see Jim sad.
