Not an author, but a CRAZED reader. OK, now I have written a little something. A very little something. Now I can sit at the cool table with Katy.

I wanted to let you writers know how much I appreciate the band-aids you have created for my broken JAMmy heart....

Can I just 'ditto' all the other reviews?  Kidding /Pam

I really like the idea that Jim and Karen have 'something' going on, but Jim is the one to put on the brakes, realizing it's still all about Pam.  I hope the writers do something along these lines and soon!  I am DEFINITELY on Team Beesley, but I don't think Karen should get hurt -- and I would hope that Jim has enough awareness of his own emotions to know it wouldn't be fair to Karen to try to use her as his band-aid.  I really like how you incorporated dialogue from the show and added additional detail to what was going on inside the characters' heads.

And the Second Drink reference -- I LOVE that!!!!

I'm so glad you expanded on the Jim/Karen derailment here -- the Booze Cruise comparison was brilliant!  And this is so well written that I'll take the angst (for a little while, anyway).

And I love this thought from Pam: She’d always hated the concept of irony.

I just love the turning point for Pam: And that was what did it for her – the vulnerability on his face, the way he couldn’t even bear to look at her. You really made that moment make sense ~~ a very critical part of whenever Pam finally takes the leap and takes some freaking ACTION!  (BTW, Bravo to your Pam for that!  Let's hope NBC's Pam will do the same!)

Summary: Post "The Merger".  This immediately follows Jim and Pam's parking lot scene. Pretend the writers don't have to worry about story arcs for the next however many seasons.  Pretend Jim and Pam can be happy.

This line sums up Pam so well: "I've wasted too much time waiting for things to happen instead of just doing something."

And I sure as heck hope Jim realizes really dang soon that Karen just does NOT do to him what Pam does.  For all our sakes!!

Author's Response: Me too! Thank you for the review :)

Aww, we call the HooBabies 'bean', too!  And isn't it always the case that they demonstrate some new quirk of behavior just when it is most important for them to behave like little angels.  Love the narrative from Jim's POV, too.

Gah!  How much do I want Pam & Jim to have a girl?  (Girl babies are the best.  I oughta know, I have two, and daddies playing with girl babies are super adorable and hilarious.  Made of win, this is, LF  ;o)

Aww, I love how you integrated the new house storyline into BabyTalk.  ITA, that when you realize the first one is getting a bit spoiled, that's when most parents decide it's time for another baby.

We call our girls 'bean' too.  Nicely done.

Author's Response:

Oooh, gosh there's something about calling her "bean" that I love...for me it goes along with Jim's love for jellybeans. lol.  I'm so glad that Jim and Pam wanting to have another baby at this point rang so true for you!

Adorable: She nodded silently, but nestled in under his chin. That wasn't a good sign. Whenever she burrowed it basically meant she was 2 seconds away from hibernation.

Note to Jim: Don't pick a fight with a woman who's child is teething.  Neither of them is very happy.

A-MA-Zing.  Sweeter than the icing on the cinnamon rolls.  (And we call HooBaby "Lily Bean", so "Jilly Bean" made me grin like a fool.)

Author's Response: AMEN! Pass that on to Greg Daniels will ya?! Thanks for the feedback Lisahoo

You know, I think this is my favorite chapter!!  I love how the 'Jim' sense of humor comes through.  Sigh.

Author's Response: Man, I'm so happy everyone is responding so well to this idea. I'll credit Jenna Fischer's parents for the idea! (See O Magazine). I was worried because I usually do dialogue and not inner monologue, but seems like Jim just being Jim (talking or not) is a hit!

Yeah -- the nail clipping is nerve wracking alright!  Have I told you lately that Daddy!Jim is freaking adorable?

And I wish you owned them too -- not only no hiatus, but there would be an adorable JamBaby ;o)

A first -- angsty babyfic!

she did that thing where she started waving her arms around like she was getting ready to take off in flight
. -- ha!  My daughter used to do that!  We call it 'the hummingbird'

While it's common knowledge that women get all hormonal during & after pregnancy, it's not often discussed how men go all 'caveman' about their new families -- this is some interesting territory to explore.

Author's Response: Oooh the hummingbird! I love that! I may use that later if you don't mind! :-)

Moxie! Finally, someone uses a song I have actually heard  in fanfic!  I'm loving bold and brazen Pam -- the perfect antidote to angst is to take some freaking action, girl!

Memo to Greg Daniels & writing staff:
This is how it is supposed to be!

So many great lines in this -- love your description of Jim/Karen's relationship: The points where they intersect become fewer and far between.

And this: But afterwards, he always feels hollow again.

Author's Response: Jim/Karen - just ain't the same, is it? And, if you have clout with Greg Daniels, could you please get him on the phone? I'd like to have a word. Thanks, lisahoo for your always wonderful and fun reviews!

This is a great characterization of Karen, and a scenario with her dating Jim that I can almost stomach -- "if Jim dates someone else, it's still all about Pam" or something to that effect.

And all the pieces of the wall Jim has built around himself -- so true, so painfully true!

Author's Response: Jim + Anyone But Pam IS hard to stomach.  Eesh.  Thanks for reviewing, lisahoo.

YES!  To Karen getting a clue ~~ hopefully before she gets hurt too badly, but we all know how pointless it is to try not to get hurt.  It's like "playing not to lose."  And who wouldn't fall head over heels over Jim upon getting the slightest bit of his attention?  Yup, everything Jim does is still all about Pam.

Author's Response: Yes, I like Karen but she needs to figure out what she's up against soon.
