I know Jim made the slow cook kind, but I really appreciate that you delivered some 'instant pudding' to us hungry masses. Yum.

Jim, who's been loving Pam without doing anything about it for so long he's thinking about going pro.
Jim isn't sure what they're waiting for, but he's never been a complainer and he's not about to start now.

Swoon. Love the last line as well, "intent on making their way back to each other." And while I enjoy some hot JAM-smut as much as the next hussy, the degree of steam in this is just right. I mean, these two have moved glacially slow so far, and although we'd all love them to fall madly in bed together, I'd like to think they care so deeply for each other that they wouldn't have their first time in the freaking office!
And I forgive you for making us wait for part 2 :o)

Okay, this is post Stamford (sort of) and is a little AU, given that we now know Jim and Pam have talked a little. It's a bit angsty, but I swear, I was absolutely seized by the urge to write this! It's based a little on some of the comments I read on Live Journal yesterday re: Jim as "a man with needs." Heh. That makes this sound as if it's going to be a pile of smut, and it's not. It'll just be a slightly different Jim - totally drunk!Jim.
Jonathan makes an appearance as well.
And for those of you who are concerned - remember, my fics always end with a happy Jim/Pam. :o) This one probably won't be as long as the others have been; I'm thinking it'll maybe be a two-parter.

It starts with the first time Jim and Pam are in the same room again, followed by their first real fight and then..you know...a few other firsts. :)
So glad I waited for Ch 2 before I jumped in to read Ch 1! I think the angst would have killed me ~~ nice balance between Angry!Pam and Pam-staking-her-claim ~~ I hope we see some of this range of emotions on the show.

So much to love about this chapter: "Jim was anything but harmless" -- Paradise Lost -- knowledge coloring all subsequent experiences -- the nitty gritty of how Pam leaves Roy. I am usually not much for the angst-filled chapters, but this one really drew me into Pam's world in a different way than other fanfic I have read. Nicely done.
