Beautifully written, a very natural feel to it, perfect pacing. Even though it is AU, I could picture every scene. Even Amy's character had depth and a genuine, layered personality. Really enjoyed this Midget! Thank you!

So very sensual and breathtaking in that dressing room. Wow!

This is the rudest thing ever, but considering that the last time this was reviewed was ten years ago, there's a good chance Semby won't see this. I just have to add something:

Jim pointed over his shoulder with his thumb "Pam, can I see you in the hall for just a second?"

Still smiling broadly, Pam said "sure" as she followed him out the doors. As they reached the corridor, Jim turned to face her, mumbled "I hope this is okay", and reached his arms around her into a tight hug. Not letting go, he sighed and whispered into her ear "I can't remember ever being so glad to see anyone before. I could not wait to get back here to do this."
Pam returned the hug, showing no signs of letting go and said, "I cannot believe how much I missed you. Please don't leave me again." The hug tightened more as they listened to each other breathing in deeper gulps of air, sounding like they'd just run up a flight of stairs. In an effort to calm down, they pulled away enough to face each other and gaze at the shining eyes before them. "Okay Pam, I will stay put. I promise." After a few sighs and mile-wide grins, Jim said, "Thanks for the updates. I'd like to resume this conversation after work, if you don't mind. But for now, we better get back to work." Pam reluctantly shook her head and they strolled, hand-in-hand, back into the office.

Hard to believe this has only one review! Especially since it was written in 2007? Great story. Pam's gears are turning in a very believable way. This story has a premise of Pam being completely clueless prior to Michael spilling the beans and really digesting it as new. I would imagine she'd be in a bit more of a state of panic, due to her own unacknowledged feelings. The thought of ANY conversation at that particular ripe moment is extremely intriguing!

I think this is the most simply beautiful story I've ever read here. It snuck up on me and had me in tears. I love how, even though they were both trying to protect the other by not pushing it, they both knew the other was holding back. I think the BEST part of the Jim and Pam story is how VERY SURE Jim is that Pam is The One. And now, this story says that Pam is just as sure that Jim is The One. Love this! Five Jellybeans for you, Pskipiksi, wherever you are!

Nine years after the last review, I am checking in. After reading this story, I decided to watch the movie. Don't care for Jim Carey, not a big Kate Winslet fan either, so I'd never seen it. But I was blown away. Then tonight I re-read this story and was blown away again. This is so powerful and rings so true. Wow!

Loved this. Just like everyone else said, "turn right and go home" is just indelible! Kind of opposite of the Grinch, I just felt my heart grow three times softer. :)

Wow! I did not expect this to be so amazing! I cannot even put an intelligent sentence together to adequately express my . . . my . . . . my overwhelmedness! Uh oh, spell check doesn't like that word, but it's the best I can come up with at the moment. Spot on writing! Spot on characters. And hunky new character . . . which I usually do NOT tolerate, but I think Ricardo has my eyelashes fluttering too! Great job! :)

Yes! Finally I read a fiction of this scene that lines up with my take on it! So many other stories have Jim a jumble of nerves and uncertainty and fear (even YOU wrote one!). But I saw quiet confidence, patience, and a willingness to do whatever it took, wait as long as necessary, and love Pam until she was ready to love him back. I think he was also pretty confident that she was already there too, but bottom line, he KNEW it was their time.
