I'm a more recent Office fan, but a fan nonetheless!
I like to write a lot of AU fics or focus on what happened after season 9.
Great Depression AU.
1 What a beautifully written story. It was well worth the few hours it took to read it. You did an amazing job of showing the emotions so well throughout this.
Like many high school sweethearts, Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly were sure nothing could ever break them up. And, like many high school sweethearts, life after graduation proved too much for their relationship to bear and they ended up going their separate ways. When their paths cross again 10 years later, old feelings are stirred up, but will Pam and Jim have a second chance at first love?

On a road trip, Jim's memories keep him company.
Memories take place throughout Jim and Pam's relationship, from friends to husband and wife (pre- to post-series), but they are framed by events that occur during the Texas period (post-series).

I am so sad this is the end, but I love how you concluded the story! I wouldn't be upset if you decided to write a sequel to this, but just focused on this era of Jam and what next steps look like in their lives together. I'd want to see Jim's word be "marriage". I would die! Amazing story all around!

1 Very excited to see a new chapter. It's nice to see that Jim is starting to get a bit better (facing his demons...literally). I hope Jam gets to take a trip soon. They definitely need it! Interested in seeing if this has them move to Austin or somewhere else.
The documentary crew is about to start filming but they need an actress undercover, to make things a little interesting. Pam wants the long term job, only it'll prove much harder than she thought, especially in terms of not getting involved with the subjects.

1 What an amazing ending! I was so excited to see an update, but sad when I realized it was the final chapter. I loved how it all wrapped up. I'm a big fan of seeing tough Jim too. We don't get to see that side too often, but it still fits him well.

If that's where you got your inspiration, I love it! Either way, I'm a big fan of this story so far! :)
