Summary: "Pam always thought dying was supposed to be a peaceful transition from the real world to a place of light and beauty. She thought that she would die an old woman in the arms of her husband, not right after hearing her child cry for the first time."

Pam knows she needs to move on after death but can't bring herself to leave behind her motherless daughter and heartbroken, grieving husband.

Ouch, this story hits me right in the feels. I don't know if you're still around here to read this, but well done. The writing is great and o really like the concept.

Summary:

Like many high school sweethearts, Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly were sure nothing could ever break them up. And, like many high school sweethearts, life after graduation proved too much for their relationship to bear and they ended up going their separate ways. Had to do a reread on this one, it has indeed been a while. Of the two plots you've got going I'm definitely more invested in the "present," regardless the past plot gives some nice context.

Looking forward to the next update!

Summary: It's 1963 and West Scranton High's new math teacher Jim Halpert has a secret. When it rears its ugly head and puts both him and librarian Pam Beesly in danger, how will he react? Will they be able to outrun his dangerous past or will his enemies catch up to him, once and for all?

I'll be honest I'm much more invested in the cabin plot than the espionage intrigue, but nonetheless, it's enjoyable all the same.

Great writing as always. Looking forward to seeing more!

Author's Response: Honestly, same. Sometimes I’m like “why did I make it a spy story when I just want to write them in a cabin?” Maybe a Little House on the Prairie AU next, lol. But I promise that the espionage stuff won’t take too much away from the fluffiness and cabin-esque stuff, and hopefully provide a good and gripping story in some chapters to come! We’ve had a lot of exposition after having action right up at the start, so we’re due for some action again soon! I hope you continue to enjoy, thank you for reviewing!

Glad to see you back at it, thanks for updating!

I really liked how you portrayed Pam's shock at the situation, the mental disconnect with reality came across quite well.

Looking forward to seeing what happens next!

Author's Response: Thank you! I’ve never been in that situation and hope never to be, but I tried to think about how I’d react if I were in her shoes! I’m glad it read well and that you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

I'm definitely more invested in the spy drama now, so great work there! I liked the Angela nods from Phyllis and Jim, that was classic. Glad that Jim and Pam have confessed the depth of their feelings for eachother as well, even if the circumstances are dire.

Looking forward to seeing who's after Jim.

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I enjoyed writing that little bit with Phyllis so much. I hope to reveal the mastermind behind it all soon, so stay tuned!

Does Pam get to run him over without her glasses on!?

So I think it's safe to say we can infer that Ryan is the bad guy that Jim was talking about. And he must have a mole or Wallace really trusted him for him to show up here ... I really hope Jim doesn't get unceremoniously shot in his sleep or something here! Certainly a cruel cliffhanger, I hope to see more soon!

Looping back from speculation to the chapter itself, I really liked the tone you set with Pam's frentic flight, no destination in mind other than anywhere but here. The affirmed feels was of course a highlight of the chapter, always a winner.

Author's Response: Lol! Wouldn’t it be fitting if Pam did actually get to run him over with no glasses? Maybe I can work that in some how... Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! Thank you so much for your compliments. I hope you kee enjoying!

Oh no you didn't!

I don't think you'd kill Pam... which means that Jim or some saviour like a random Andy got back in the game and shot Ryan... or something. I'm really hoping Pam's alright, but being strangled isn't anything to scoff at either, so kinda already not-alright.

The mood of this chapter was palpable, we all knew it was going to go downhill fast at the end of the last one, and boy did this deliver.

I can't wait to see that Pam's mostly-ok.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! I hope to not leave things dangling off the cliff for too long. I’m so glad this chapter delivered for you!

I liked the parallels you made in this chapter to The Job, it was a really nice tie in. Of course, Jim turning down the job to be with Pam was a wonderful moment. I look forward to seeing you wrap this one up, it's been a wonderful adventure!

Author's Response: Thank you so much, I'm so glad you think so!

Good to see an update to this! I had just marked it read and moved on a couple of weeks ago. I am really enjoying it so far, keep it up.

I've finally had the courage to open my browser tab and read this one. This story has been a very emotional read, and your writing of it has been phenomenal.

The most recent chapter with the witness statements was a nice recap and even if the conviction is not stated it gave a nic sense of closure.

I look forward to reading more of this or any other stories you choose to write.

I loved the cookies, it was very cute. One can't hope bit think that somehow Jim got a chance to read that letter, but I guess we just have to wait and see.

I don't hate Brian... but also I have to register my objection on behalf of JAM! This is a pretty believable scenario, I just don't want to watch it play out, it hurts my jammed up heart. I look forward to things reaching the breaking point.

Author's Response:

Well, I'm a sucker for happy endings and a hardcore JAM shipper so, hold in tight.

Thanks a lot for reviewing!

I loved the letters as always, they're some of the highlights for Mr in this story.

Danny as a creep definitely checks out, glad Pam got out of that situation alright. Him turning up as the new logistics boss... Less fortunate. Definitely looking forward with interest into how that all plays out.

Great job as always, an all-round excellent chapter.

Author's Response: Thanks DG. The letters are fun since it's their only way to banter with each other right now. The Danny thing is something I've been planning for a while. Glad to have you hear for it.

Some nice classic bits of levity with Andy's wall punch and Ryan's new office in an otherwise pretty dark and intense chapter. Roy and Jim seem to be crawling towards an inevitable reveal that they're in love with the same woman, and Dwight gets a promotion, but in the worst way imaginable.

You know with a checkovs gun hidden in there like that, you might just have a guy hoping that Jim and Pam might end up on the same continent with the secretary comment.

This was a really long chapter indeed, but k still look forward to more!

Author's Response: Thanks DG. Even though this is set as AU as it is, I still want to try and pull in as much from canon as I can. Glad that all worked out for you. Sorry to get your hopes up about Pam getting out to England. I've already done her appearing out of nowhere behind a secretary desk once in this fic, to do it again might be a bit much.

Glad you liked it.

I was so happy to see this opening with all of those letters, I love that we still get Jim and Pam interactions even across all that distance. Again with the painting a picture with words, the baseball game drew me in yet again. The ending with Helene going staticus dramaticus was unfortunate, and I feel for the 'kids' there. It's never fun to have to feel like you need to take sides in something like that.

Another great, long, and entertaining chapter, you've 'hit it out of the park' yet again as it were ;)

Author's Response: Thanks DG!

Glad you're enjoying everything and that the visuals are all clear. It's a bit of a challenge to still have JAM banter when all they have right now are letters and there's a big time difference between sending and recieving on both ends. Glad you're liking it though.

The home stuff is yes unfortunate, but also a way to tie this story back to canon.

I'm very glad you thought this chapter was a home run.

You have great skill in painting pictures with words, I was rarely lost in the dogfight while reading it, and maybe I just watched too much history Channel growing up but the way you described their movements worked for me really well.

I'm glad Ryan got put in his place, screw that guy.

Looking forward to seeing how Andy fits in. Also, Tim? Isn't that the Jim equivalent from the UK office? If so, nice nod there, look forward to seeing how that plays out.

Author's Response: Oddly enough watching and re-watching episodes of History Channel's "Dogfights" has been a main source of research for me for this fic. Especially the episodes highlighting P-47's and P-51's.

Yup Tim is the equivalent of Jim from the UK Office. It's been a story element I've been planning for a long time so it's a lot of fun to bring out.

Thanks for the review.

This chapter was a delight, I could almost hear the stomping and clapping in my head while reading this. Now I have to go listen to all the songs. The rivalry turning to song was a fun twist, I half expected an all out brawl.

Author's Response: Thanks DG. That was exactly what I was going for. A lead up to possibly a bar brawl, but then they break out in song. Glad you liked it. Hope all those songs get stuck in your head like they have been in mine for months now.

Great writing, as seems standard around these parts.
