Well done, that was a nice ending. And done worry about your writing, it's great. We all suffer from the imposter syndrome sometimes, it's hard to shake.

Summary:

When the flu attacks Dunder Mifflin, Pam and Jim are the only ones left to go on a road trip training mission to other branches. Three days alone in a car together--hmm, what could possibly happen? AU set late Season 2. Romance/mild angst/humor/adult content.  Rated T, at first...

You're doing good! I was yelling "Nooo!" To myself at the end there, so excellent work on getting us invested!

Author's Response: It's great you are getting into my fic--that's certainly high praise. Thanks so much! More soon.

Thank you! I am so glad the memory loss plot point was not dragged out, and served its purpose. It was also really gratifying to see angry Pam at the end there. Keep up the good work!

Author's Response: It was liberating writing angry Pam, for sure! Glad you like where this is going. THanks so much for the review.

Personally I could have done without the epilogue, and just wrapped with the promise of the trip. I cant help but feel it was just a bit out of character at the end there. Overall though, excellent writing, and I'm happy to see the story done.

Author's Response:

Sorry you didn't like the epilogue. One of the reasons I write fanfiction is to make the characters do things I wish they would, like having Pam and Jim get together in season 2, for example. I always wished Jim would stand up to Roy, and considering I made Roy much worse in my fic than on the show, I felt that this might have been an appropriate response from Jim if he thought Roy was harassing Pam. But I'm glad you liked the rest of the story. Thanks for the review.

Summary:

It's 1995 and 16 year old Pam thinks she has everything figured out. All she wants is to be an artist, find a nice boy to fall in love with, and continue to think that everything happens for a reason.

The summer after her 16th birthday everything comes crashing down. Pam's life as she knew it begins to change. The perfect cocoon of a life she had originally had begins to crumble.

A delight as usual Beth! The treat portion in the middle seemed especially relevant and I got a good chuckle from it.

Author's Response: That was my favorite part of that chapter!

Aww, Jim is so sweet to Pam in this chapter, I really thought he was going to let her down on the dance for a while there. Glad to see that he pulled through for her.

Author's Response: I considered having him let her down, but he's let her down in the past and I thought that might let you all down so I refrained haha.

Just so long as an errant Karen or Katy don't make an appearance and steal Jim, I think they'll be fine.

I enjoyed the update, even if it was short. I'm glad to see things moving in what I think we can all objectively agree is the right direction!

You are correct, very glad to be through with the Roy bits.

Here's hoping that Jim isn't too gunshy to take another chance on Pam.

I look forward to reading more and finding out, superb writing as always!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading and enjoying! I'm happier I took Roy out based on reviews.

Looking forward to more! Please no finding other people!

Edit: Reviewingn on mobile is hard, big thumbs little buttons.

Author's Response: It definitely makes for easier updates too! (I also agree about reviewing on phones! Ha!) Thank you:)

This is a moment that makes we wish we could see things from Jim's perspective. I hope he isn't scarf off by blankpam.

I otherwise enjoyed the chapter, the writing was spot on as usual. Looking forward to the next installment.

Author's Response: I actually considered starting a jim journal to go back and do his perspective of this!

Wow, that was a trip. Walked in thinking it was going to be a story about cancer, instead we got Jim the vampire slayer. Didn't see that one coming!

Author's Response:

Thank you!

Writing about supernatural stuff feels more comfortable than about cancer, so... Hope you weren't disappointed :)

Your writing of this story is so good. I get so invested in these characters that I put off reading this story because it stresses me out. Keep up the good work.

Wild speculation time: Toby is a plant sent by mac to infiltrate and gather information on the farm.

Author's Response: Thank you! I hate to hear it stresses you out but I am glad you are enjoying it, nonetheless. :)

Huzzah, no one died this chapter! I'll call that up as a win. I'm glad the farm is getting more security, seems especially prudent with the mystery thefts taking place, although I almost don't want the person caught and thrown out, because I'm pretty sure Mac is going to interrogate them and then... Y'know.

Great writing and story as always. I especially enjoyed the triumphant return and Brad's comparison to the Ark, that was a good chuckle.

Author's Response: Yes! Everyone survived. The person (or persons) responsible will start a chain reaction of events, for sure. I couldn't pass up the Ark comment, visualizing what that yard looked like when they got back. XD Thanks so much DG!

Well, shame about Toby but I cant say that he didn't set himself up for that. Him giving the radio over was a dreadful bonus, but maybe the crew will catch on and change channels or something? Maybe it's batteries will die? I dunno, that's just my whishful thinking trying to defuse Chekhov's gun I suppose.

Seeing Jim the conflicted leader was a nice moment, because I can totally see that happening and it just felt so in character for the world you've built for them.

Glad that the baby turned out ok.

Looking forward to what Mac pulls next, the salt exchange was all a little suspect, so maybe he'll make it into a subscription plan, Salt As A Service.

Deleted my review to edit and add:

Huge missed opportunity to call this chapter Goodbye Toby.

I just cracked myself up at midnight sitting in bed, my roommates think I need help.

Author's Response:

Haha these are all great comments! Thank you so much for the review!

You know, I don't think Toby thought the whole walkie thing through, and that's very unfortunate.

Oh, and I hope your roommates don't think you are too crazy. It was only midnight after all.  :)

Gah! How could Toby do that to the group taking care of his own daughter! You've got me Hook line and sinker here, I need to know what happens next.

Darn it, Toby! I knew he was a snake but that was just low and dirty. I finally got psyched up enough to read this, here's hoping everything turns out alright.

Author's Response: Yes, Toby is a real jerk. I hope it doesn't disappoint!

Toby is really starting to worry me. Glad they got out of town just fine but boy is he sketchy at all get out. Hopefully his daughter's best interests prevail and he doesn't do anything untoward.

Author's Response: Yes, Toby has a big question mark over him for everyone. He is definitely not predictable right now! Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

Phew, glad Jim's ok, even if he might not be out of the woods. Looking forward in trepidation to what Mac does next.

Author's Response: I could never bring myself to kill Jim. Hurt him a bit maybe... but never kill him. ;)

Oh boy. Fighting fire with fire is a dangerous game indeed. It's a good thing that I too like to live dangerously. For Pam's sake I hope Jim calls the bluff before things get out of control.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for your feedback on chapter 2. Hope you continue to enjoy the "danger." I posted chapter 3 today--hope you get the chance to read it soon.
