Story Notes:
They are a few little ditties that I wrote for the NBC Message Board contest. The only requirement was this: 69 word poem on your favorite character in any rhythm. Unfortunately, I could only come up with one poem that was 69 words long, but it inspired me to write more and see what else I could come up with.
I don't know much about poetry, so please be a little forgiving of me if you are a poetry expert. This was in a way an experiment for me and as you'll see, the poems may get a little more complicated as you go along. I am posting them in the order that I wrote them. I was learning as I went. I still have a lot of learning to do, but this was fun.
And I know this isn't really fiction, but I figured why not. I hope you'll enjoy

This Is A Run Out The Clock Situation by BlueJeanBaby
This Is A Run Out The Clock Situation
He is biding his time
And each across or down solved,
Between the hours of nine and five,
Is another minute dissolved.
With a roll of the eyes,
A sigh released between lips,
Another whine will be ignored
And a day slowly slips.
He simply does his job
And won’t deal with nonsense,
But eats annual confections
While waits for a year past tense.
Minute by long minute,
Day overlapping long day,
Year, after year, after long year,
He will bide his time away.
End Notes:
Please review, I just want to know if this was worth your time. :)
The Entertainer And His Audience by BlueJeanBaby
Author's Notes:
Ok, I think this is it. Unless something else just comes to mind.
Oh, and since it's Wednesday, September 26, 2007!! I hope everyone enjoys the Season 4 Premiere!!! Wohooo, It's almost here!!!
The Entertainer And His Audience
He loves to entertain; keep them smiling
No audience too grand, no crowd too small
Today’s clown wears two heads for laughs and grins
Marrow’s jester takes to the stage again
But what he lives for is rather trying
Always making him trip and take the fall
To him, his heart belongs with them always
Alas, their love for him ends on Fridays.
End Notes:
Did I do enough begging for reviews? It's not that I'm interested in collecting reviews, I'm just interested in what people think and if they have any tips or advice. Not that I'm going to be some great poet some day. Anyway, I just hope you enjoy. Much Love, BJB
Sad Eyes and Sadder Sighs by BlueJeanBaby
Author's Notes:
So, somehow this one got lost in the shuffle, and then I couldn't fix it because MTT was down. It was supposed to be the third one.
Sad Eyes and Sadder Sighs
sad eyes and
sadder sighs
sit in the stall in the annex
alienated
and all alone
aware of his own distinction
Dunder Mifflin’s doormat
drinks tea and
dares to dream up days with Sasha
End Notes:
Please Review, thanks. :)
