Chapter 1 by flonkertonxx
Author's Notes:

This is pretty longg [: I apoligizee!

"Then it's a date."

Am I dreaming? Is this another one of those dreams of Jim that I have frequently been having? Is he playing a prank on me?

Pam walked out of the confrence room and sat down at her desk. She has fantisized this day since Jim returned from Stamford. It was finally happening, and no, she was NOT dreaming. She looked over at Jim, who was sitting at his old desk, and he winked at her. Pam knew she was turning red.

She returned to her game of Solitare and then an email popped up on her screen. It was from Jim. She clicked on it right away.

To: PamBeesly@DunderMifflin.com
From: JimHalpert@DunderMifflin.com
Subject: Tonight [;

Message: My friend, Trevor, is having a BBQ at his backyard. I think it will be a good place for our first date [;

Pam read the message over and over. Their first date. Actully, this wasn't their first date. They had one on her first day at Dunder Mifflin. They also had one on the roof of their office buldining, watching fireworks, eating Jim's famous grilled cheese, and listining to his ipod. But then she was with Roy.

She clicked reply to Jim's email.

To: JimHalpert@DunderMifflin.com
From: PamBeesly@DunderMifflin.com
Subject: Re: Tonight [;

Message: That sounds great! I'm looking forward to it! But I warned you, I am very messy when BBQ sauce is included in the picture :-)

She looked at Jim a few minutes later, and he was laughing at her email. She smilied too.

She saw his reply pop up on her screen.

To: PamBeesly@DunderMifflin.com
From: JimHalpert@DunderMifflin.com
Subject: Re:Re: Tonight [;

Message: I am too, so don't worry [: I will be at your apartment to pick you up around 7. And be sure to bring those famous Beesly dance moves with you, because I'm sure that there will be dancing at the BBQ.

Pam looked at Jim and nodded with a smile present on her lips. She doesn't remember the last time she smiled this much.

As soon as work ended, Pam grabbed her coat and ran home in record breaking time. She decided not to dress up too nice, so she wore the red shirt she bought online not to long ago, dark jeans, flats, and long silver earrings. She refreshed her makeup and wore her hair like she did when Jim first returned from Stamford. She even decided to spray a little bit of perfume on.

A date with Jim Halpert. Finally

---------

Jim noticed Pam run out of the office without saying goodbye. He figured she was just excited, and he was too. He got dressed quickly and still had an hour until 7. He was getting more nervous by the minute. He tried watching TV but it didnt' help at all, so he jumped in his car and went to buy Pam some flowers. He bought her roses, but not the big ones. He bought her the small ones that he remembered her say once that she liked them more. Finally, he could go and pick her up. He sat in his car for 5 minutes, gaining his confidence, until he walked up to her door. He took a few deep breaths until he was ready, and he knocked on her door.

---------

Pam heard him knock on her door. She looked at herself one more time in the mirror before opening the door.

Jim looked at Pam. She looked gorgeous. He has never seen her look like that. He finally gained up the courage to say something. "Wow...you look.... incredible."

Pam turned the color of shirt. "You don't look so bad yourself!" She said and smiled. He was wearing jeans and a blue polo shirt.

"Oh! I almost forgot, these are for you!" He handed her the flowers. He could tell she liked them by the smile on her face. He loved it when she smiled. She would get a little bit of pink in her cheeks, her eyes would light up and her teeth would glisten.

"Jim! You didn't have to... But thank you! Let me put them in a vase, come on in!"

He stepped inside and took a good look at what he could see in her apartment. The door led to her living room and to the left was her kitchen. Her living room had a nice looking couch, two chairs, a table, her art stacked in a pile in the corner, and a TV. It was just as he imagined. And it was so Pam.

She set the flowers in a vase in the middle of the table. "You ready to go?" She asked.

"More then ever!" Jim said and Pam laughed. He helped her put on her coat and they got in the car. Pam looked around Jim's car. It was so much like him. The back was a mess. There were countless socks, ties, and some of his clothes he wore to work that were probably supposed to be taken to the dry cleaners. There were empty coke cans, books, CDs, and a few pairs of shoes. The ride to Trevor's house was only 5 minutes. They stepped out of the car and walked to the backyard. It was huge. There was a trampoline, a treehouse, picnic tables set up, and a grill that was making the ribs. There were a lot of people there too. "This place is gigantic!" Pam said.

"Well, Trevor is pretty rich! He grew up at this house, and i guess he never wanted to leave! So his parents moved to a smaller house." Jim explained.

Just then, Trevor walked up.

"Jim! Glad to see you could make it!" Trevor said.

"I'm glad to be here! Trevor, I want you to meet Pam," Jim said.

"Oh I know Pam! She's the girl you endlessly talk about! Wait, where's Karen?" Trevor asked.

Pam was excited to hear that Jim talked about her so much, but completley forgot about Karen. She didn't even notice her come back to work today.

"Oh...um.... things weren't really working out between us, and i had to end it.... i just couldn't keep dating a girl that I didnt' have feelings for...." Jim said.

Pam tried not to smile.

"Mind if I give her a call?" Trevor asked.

"Not at all. Go for it dude." Jim said.

"Thanks! Oh and go grab a seat. The food will be put on the tables soon."

Jim and Pam walked to a table.

"Jim... I'm really sorry about Karen...." Pam said, but Jim cut her off.

"Don't worry Pam. I never really had feelings for her. I think it was just because I had feelings for somebody else and they never went away."

Pam nudged him and blushed again. "Jim Halpert!"

She felt his hand go over hers. She grabbed it and laced her fingers through his. He gave her hand a sweet squeeze.

They ate their BBQ and didn't stop laughing and talking the whole time. Pam tried to explain Scrutebucks and how she was the Secret Assistant to the Regional Manager. They also met some new friends that were pretty sweet.

Night was creeping up on them. They decided to go up in the treehouse. They were luckily the only two up there. Pam didn't relize how cold she was until Jim put his coat on her. "You were shivering." He said.

"Thanks Jim," Pam smilied.

They looked into each other's eyes for a long time, then all of a sudden, Pam started laughing.

"Way to ruin a moment Pam!" Jim said and started laughing too. "What's so funny?"

"You have BBQ sauce all over you cheek!" Pam said and wiped it off with her finger. Jim took her had that had been wiping the BBQ sauce away and held it. The laughter died down and Jim slowly started to lean in to kiss her. He placed his lips on hers. She kissed him back. She would have fallen down if he didn't wrap his arms around her waist.

He felt her arms creep up his body and into his hair. He pulled her closer. He loved the way their lips glided across each others perfectly.

She loved how he still had the smell that he had on Casino Night.

They slowly pulled away, and Pam ran her fingers down his chest and into his hands.

They were still looking into each other's eyes and were silent for a long time.

"Wow. That was...amazing" Jim said.

"I know. I have been having to keep myself from doing it alot latley." Pam said and smiled.

All of a sudden, she heard two men down at the bottom of the treehouses stairs, getting ready to come up. They were laughing. She recognized one of the men's laughs.

"Jim." Pam said in a part whisper.

He was still looking into her eyes. "Mhmmmm." He mumbled.

"I hear Roy laughing at the bottom of the treehouse."

This snapped Jim out of his daze. He didn't want to be alone with Roy in the treehouse with Pam. Roy tried to kill Jim once before, so Jim didn't waste any time. He hurried down the stair and snuck around Roy.

"Do you....want to go home?" Pam asked.

"If by home you mean going back to your place, eating junk food, sharing a blanket together, and watching a movie." Jim said.

Pam laughed and said, "Of course."

"Oh, but wait! I'm not leaving here without a dance with you."

"I'm such a Dorky Dancer! But I would love to." Pam smiled as Jim took her hand once more and he led her out to the part of the yard where everybody was dancing. A slow song began. Pam put her arms around Jim's neck and he put his arms around Pam's waist. She stepped closer to him and they began to dance. She rested her head on his shoulder and smiled. She never wanted to let him go. They didn't notice Roy staring at them from the treehouse. The song ended too quickly, and people started to leave.

"Thanks for the dance, Jim." Pam said.

"It was my pleasure. And you are not a dorky dancer!" Jim said and laughed. They walked to the car and sat down. He reached for her hand and they began the short drive home.

Chapter 2 by flonkertonxx
Author's Notes:

What happens when they go home. Will they get sick because the popcorn they eat has been poisined?

Okay so, no, they don't get food poisining... [x

Pam walked up to the apartment with Jim. She unlocked the door and they walked in. They put up their coats and kicked off their shoes.

"Make yourself at home!" Pam said.

Jim walked over and sat on the couch. Pam went into the kitchen and put some popcorn in the microwave.

Jim is in my apartment, sitting on my couch. Jim. Jim Halpert. Holy God.

She got a carton of ice cream out of the freezer. Mint Chocolate Chip. She knew he loved this kind, and she did too. She got two spoons and two cokes. She carried it into the living room.

"Need some help, Beesly?" Jim asked.

He looked so cute sitting on her couch, turned around looking at her with a smile on his face.

"I got it, thanks!" She said and set everything on the table and sat down next to him. "What should we watch? But please. Not Battlestar Galactica. I do not want to think about Dwight right now." They both laughed.

Jim rummaged through her movie selection. "Ohhh Signs. Is this okay?" he asked.

"I love that movie, but i get so scared everytime! So i wll probably be sitting on your lap by the end," Pam said.

"That is more then okay with me." Jim said and smiled his famous Jim grin. Pam playfully slapped him on his arm and they laughed. The movie started and they both got under the same blanket, sharing popcorn and ice cream. They put their feet on the table and rubbed them against each other. Jim put his arm around Pam and she leaned against him and placed her her hand on his leg. The part came up when Mel Gibson cuts off the aliens fingers. Pam gasped and grabbed onto Jim. Jim smiled and pulled her closer. They pulled their feet off the table and put them on the couch. The movie got to a slow part and Jim kissed Pam's temple.

"You missed." Pam said.

Jim smiled and put his hand on her neck and pulled her in and kissed her.

She felt his warm tounge slide into her mouth and she savored the feeling she got in her heart. He nibbled on her bottom lip and she ran her fingers up and down his back. After they pulled away, she rested her head on his chest. He drew circles on her back.

"Feel my heart." Jim said, taking Pam's hand and placing it on his heart.

"It's almost beating as fast as mine," Pam said and laughed. It was quiet for a a while longer.

"Jim," Pam said quietly.

"Yeah?" He replied.

It was quiet for a few seconds before Pam responded.

"I love you."

Jim let out a staccto breath.

"Wow....Pam... I can't tell you how long I have wanted to hear those words come out of your mouth," he said.

Pam smiled.

"I love you too, Pam," Jim said, putting his hand on her neck for another kiss. Before he could pull her in, she placed her mouth on his. He tried not to smile. He kissed her neck, and then her ear. Pam giggled and whispered, "That tickles Jim." He smiled and she kissed his lips again. They were teasing their tongues with each other's. Jim tried not to smile again when a small moan escaped from Pam.

They were finally together, and nothing was going to pull them apart. They had both been waiting so long for this to happen and it finally was.

The movie ended. Their hands were still entertwined with each other's and they were still cuddled up together. They sat like that for a while longer, and whispered to each other, making each other laugh. Then, Jim noticed the time. They had work the next day.

"As much as i hate to say this and put tonight to an end, I think I should get going." Jim said and stood up.

Pam released her hand from his. She wanted him to stay the night, but she knew that would be going to fast. She wanted to take things slowly and she was sure he wanted to too. They had finally made it to each other, and she didn't want to mess things up. "That's okay. I will see you tomorrow!" She said and stood up too.

"Let's keep it a secret from the office." Jim said with a smile.

"Definitaly." Pam said smiling back. She walked him to the door and they kissed once more. Pam never wanted to let go.

Jim was so ecstatic to finally be kissing Pam. He cherished the last kiss of the night, and finally let her go. She smiled as he walked out the door to his car. She kept smiling as she watched him get in his car from her window. She kept smiling when she showered that night. She kept smiling when she went to bed that night.

Jim couldn't wait to see her the next day. It would be so exciting to try and keep it a secret from the office. How long will they be able to keep it a secret? He drove home thinking about Pam. He dreamed about Pam that night and for the first time in a long time, he was excited to go to work the next day. He jumped out of bed and put on his work clothes.

Pam tried hard to look nice for work that day. She finally had a man of her own that she could impress. No. He wasn't just a man. He was Jim. Now, she could finally walk to her reception desk and look at Jim, and not have to frown knowing he is dating another girl.

Chapter 3 by flonkertonxx
Author's Notes:

Probably the last chapter. I may get bored and come back later to add something. But right now, it's the end.

Feeback is love [:

Pam got to work very early that day. She was sitting at the reception desk, drawing a picture of the treehouse that she and Jim had kissed in that night. She could remember it perfectly.

Jim came in at his normal time. Before going to his desk, he stopped by reception.

"Any messages?" He said. He really didn't care if he had any, he just wanted to hear Pam's voice.

Pam was fully aware of this.

"Well..." she started, with a half grin on her face. "There is one from a woman who would like to thank you for a wonderful night last night."

Jim smiled and said, "Oh, I know what that is about. It was a great night with a great girl. We went to a bbq, kissed in a treehouse, had a nice dance, then went back to her place and watched Signs. She got scared, which gave me a chance to snuggle up to her. It was the best date of my life."

They both started laughing and Jim took an M&M. Then, he tapped his fingers on her desk, winked at her, and said in a low whisper, "I should get to my desk otherwise people may start to think something is going on between us...."

She laughed and watched him go to her desk. She looked at him a little longer and he turned around and smiled at her. Then she turned to her computer screen with a big smile on her face. Things were finally perfect.

She was in the middle of a game of Solitare when she decided to get on AIM.

PamBeesly has just signed on

Jim was editing his MySpace page when an AIM came up on his screen.

PamBeesly: Hey, Halpert! (:

Jim smiled, but Karen had just opened the door to the office. Jim's smile faded right away.

"Jim." Karen said.

"Karen." Jim said, not looking at Karen at all. He was going to try and avoid as much eye contact with her as possible.

He looked back at his computer screen. He wanted to talk to Pam. He knew he wouldn't be able to go over to reception very often or people would get suspicious.

JimHalpert: Hey Beesly! I really did have a great time last night.
PamBeesly: Me too. We have finally come to our senses and are now dating (x hahaha!
JimHalpert: FINALLY!

Pam and Jim were both trying not to laugh.

JimHalpert: I dreamed about you last night.
PamBeesly: oh really? stop making me blush!
JimHalpert: hahaha! Pam Beesly is a blusher!
PamBeesly Around you, I am (;
JimHalpert: Now your making me blush!
PamBeesly: Well good!
JimHalpert: Oh i forgot to tell you. My mom sent me some of her chocolate pie, and i brought some for lunch. I know it's your favorite
PamBeesly: And i am expecting you to let me share it with you
JimHalpert: You will be getting some, Beesly, don't worry about that.

Jim looked over at Pam. She was looking at him with a satifisfied grin on her face.

Then, another AIM came up on his screen. He was expecting it to be from Pam, but it was from Karen instead.

Karen845: Jim, i want you to know that i spent my night last night on my couch crying my freaking eyes out.

Jim didn't want to write back. He couldn't take anymore Karen drama. He IMed Pam again.n

JimHalpert: Karen just sent me an IM. ):
PamBeesly: What did she say?
JimHalpert: That all she did last night was cry.
PamBeesly: Oh..
PamBeesly: You should send her something back...
JimHalpert: I guess so. I will be right back..

Pam was right. He can't just ignore Karen like this, but at the same time, he knows she will be over dramatic and make him feel bad.

He typed a message to her anyway.

JimHalpert: Karen, i'm really sorry. i didn't want you to take it hard. i really, really want to stay your friend, but your going to have to move on.
JimHalpert: Hey. I have a friend that i could try and set you up with
Karen845: Seriously? You would do that? I'm sorry for being such a bitch..... but it did hurt. I guess i was just feeling bad for myself. we really weren't right for each other and i knew that all along too.
JimHalpert: I would be happy to (:

Jim sent Pam and Email with the conversation he had with Karen in it. He was shocked that Karen forgave him that easily.

Jim walked up to the reception desk. Pam looked up at him and smilied.

"You're such a great guy, Jim. I can't believe you're mine," she said.

"And I can't believe i have you," He said. They looked into each other's eyes for a moment, and then remembered where they were.

Then, it was 12:00. Time for lunch. Jim smiled, grabbed his lunch, and looked at Pam. She looked back at him and stood up. They walked into the breakroom and sat down.

"I have turkey, ranch, and swiss," Pam said.

"I have tuna fish," Jim said.

"I will give you half of mine for half of yours," Pam said.

"Deal." Jim handed her half of his sandwich and she did the same.

"Now where is the pie! I have been looking forward to it all day so far!" Pam said anxiously.

Jim reached in his paper sack and pulled it out. He stood up and grabbed two forks and handed her one.

They started sharing the pie.

"Hey stay on your side!" She said, pushing his fork away.

"I guess I have to pay you back for that then," Jim replied.

"Yes you do!" Pam said.

Jim put some of the pie on the fork and put it in her mouth. Pam closed her mouth around the fork and closed her eyes taking the pie off the fork. She smiled, looked around to see if anybody was near them, and the leaned over the table and kissed his cheek. He blushed and then Kevin walked in.

"Oh. my. God." Kevin said.

Jim and Pam looked at each other with worry on their faces, thinking that Kevin had seen Pam kiss Jim's cheek.

"That pie looks....AWESOME," Kevin said.

Jim and Pam let out a sigh of relief. Kevin grabbed Jim's fork and took a bite, then walked away.

"That scared me for a second. I thought we were going to be busted!" Jim said. Pam laughed and held his hand.

Things were finally the way they should have been all along. She knew that he was going to be the last boy she would kiss.

He knew she was the one.
