A brief exploration of when Jim Halpert really fell for Pam Beesly. 

 This story takes place right after the events of Valentine's Day, season 2. Pam has an epiphany and realizes that the life she wants isn't necessarily the life she has now.

This takes place during Valentine's Day and I've deiced to enter it into the 2017  Valentine's Day Writing Challenge. It's my first story here so I'm beyond excited. 

Jim and Pam are the best of friends, until Jim moves away. He makes and keeps a promise.

On a road trip, Jim's memories keep him company.

 Memories take place throughout Jim and Pam's relationship, from friends to husband and wife (pre- to post-series), but they are framed by events that occur during the Texas period (post-series).

However, one warning does apply to this story, but has been omitted to avoid spoiling readers for a major plot point and story theme. This warning applies for Chapter 10. This note/reminder will be repeated at the beginning of that chapter. 

Jim and Pam's first date and the ensuing weekend. Set after The Job. My second attempt at taking on the topic.

Final edit 11/11/17: Broken into shorter chapters. Now with 75% less cringe, 100% more realism, and a bit lighter on the smut than before.

Pam decides to write angry letters without sending them. Or, well, the modern equivalent thereof. A fun little romp of a story!

AU: Canon divergence. Pam doesn't get back together with Roy in season 3. She leaves the wedding when he asks her to dance. They are not together for her art show. They don't go to Poor Richard's, she doesn't tell him about the kiss with Jim, and he never tries to attack Jim in the office. 

Discovering the deepest desires of each other's hearts... and pants.
