Jim listens to Pam ask the kids to put on their shoes, remind them to get their folders from the homework basket, inquire if they remembered to put a snack in their backpacks. Since October 2007 (before that, if he’s really honest with himself) Halloween has never been ‘just another day’ with Pam, but here she is in 2018 with no costume, no theme, and no expectations of him. He’s left feeling unsettled and...more than a little disappointed.
Jim brings Pam home for Thanksgiving.Pam and Jim just started dating, and Pam’s curious about Jim’s romantic past. He pretty much knows all about hers, such as it is, so it seems only fair.
There sits that bag of chips, on the passenger seat, to remind her of him, of his skin, and of the things that need to be fixed in her life.

“Pam, come on. Don’t do that.” The sound of his bare feet on the wooden floor following behind kept me in motion through the dining room, looking under chairs for my sandals. I summoned everything I had in me not to look at him in his currently half-dressed state.
“Don’t do what? Jim, I’m fine. Really.”
I’m just in love with you and you only want to be friendly neighbors. And, also, since I’m being honest with myself, my body is not loving the unsated high of being as aroused as I just felt with your hands on me like that.
A little one shot set somewhere in season nine. My take on some of the thoughts and feelings of our favorite couple as they work through the changes and difficulties that Jim's new job brings. Some angst, some smut, and a good hopeful ending. Enjoy! High School Pam meets High School Jim and that becomes an opportunity for learning a few things.
