Pam's flying candy cane assault was worth the price of entry for this fic all on its own. Resourceful under pressure, that one. And I love seeing her giving Roy a good dressing down. Lord knows he's had that coming for a long time, and now she's in a place where she's capable of giving it to him.
And the Ryan twist? Damn. I mean... sure feels like something Jim had coming, but I didn't see it until it hit.
Author's Response: It's always fun to give Roy a dressing down. I really like writing a more assertive Pam and this was just to good an opportunity. Don't worry about Jim. He'll bounce back next chapter now that he's got some more ground under his feet in regards with his relationship with Pam.

Author's Response: Pam flush with the adrenaline of first seeing Jim faint, then they kiss, then Roy comes back says he's about to punch out Jim? Might drive anyone over the edge though. Still thanks for the critique.

Author's Response: Thanks! That's kind of what I was going for with the ending. Not to bad for writing a chapter while sitting post in my ambulance late at night, eh? Figured I'd throw everyone a bone for that one.

Great for Pam though! I too am a sucker for her finding her strength really early and that was awesome! Especially the slap. Well written too.
Author's Response: Thanks. It's almost like a challenge I set for myself with this story. Can I end each chapter with a cliffhanger? Glad this one came across well. Pam's realized she's got another chance with Jim and no one, not even big boorish Roy, is going to get in the way of that.
