Just poking through some old stories and re-read this. You really should finish it! I'm sure there are hundreds of folks who'd like to read about the rest of Pam's brave night.

Aarrrgh! You said you were going to update the 2nd chapter no later than Monday, and now it's Thursday. I've been checking every day. Again: Arrrgh.
Sorry, I'm sure you're busy with real life. I just enjoy your story (and all your stories) and can't wait for an update.

Girl7! So excited to see an update to this. I've been waiting for some quiet time to sit and read it uninterrupted. This is so well written. I didn't want it to end. Can't wait for what comes next.

I was so excited to see a girl7 fic ... I'm a rabid fan of yours, so keep the good times coming!! And don't let stupid real life keep you from producing more great works ... give the people what they want!
Great concept ... looking forward to seeing what other moments you capture.

I'm so glad to see you posted another; I loved the idea of this when the first one was published. Damn those real life responsibilities!

I love "What If" stories. These one shots are perfect, a shift in reality that allows us to imagine the possibilites. I'm enjoying them thanks for sharing!

Yay! Glad you're back, and glad to see that this story hasn't been abandoned :) This was wonderfully written - realistic and poignant, though a bit painful lengthwise--only because I'm so eager to find out what happens next! So yeah, really looking forward to part 2 (and subsequent chapters!) :)

I am so, so glad to see that you've posted another part of this, girl7 (you actually got a gasp out of me). I've been thinking a lot lately about the nature of the tension between Jim and Pam and the ways that it could have broken, so it's a treat to watch you take it apart. Please know that I'm an enthusiastic fan of this story & can't wait for the second part of this installment.

girl7, how lovely to see you again! I was just thinking about this fic the other day and wondering if you were going to update it. What a terrific surprise!
The look on Pam's face at the end of this episode has always struck me with its sadness and regret but also that fond memory, very akin to Jim's when he said "I really miss that." Great place for a what-if scenario. And I love how she's determined to go through with it, but still so Pam in stopping to stall at the LQ. Poor Jim thinking she's being literal about being in the neighborhood. I can't wait to see how you continue this to its inevitable (let's hope!) conclusion. :)
Oh, and totally random, but my brother likes to say "the third Thursday of every other September" as a description of rare occurrences. :)

Woot! G7, back in da house. And most welcome. I love this idea of taking these killer moments between them and adding more to them. Just fabulous. Can't wait for part two of this one. A little alcohol may allow them to be a wee bit more truthful with each other.

I'm so happy you're back! Can't wait for part 2, but I think so far it's been great. :)

The "Alert" for your newest story has been sitting in my inbox for what seems like forever, waiting for me to read. And finally (!!) I'm catching up! I love that you capture the scenes around Pam and Jim at the Booze Cruise, the snorkel shots that were inevitably drowned out by the tension on the deck. It's a beautiful scene you've set up, and the ending! Oy!! What a cliffhanger! (Even though I know this is the end of this "chapter", it's still a killer cliffhanger) Another beautifully written masterpiece!

What a lovely reimagining of a classic shippery moment! The weight of the silence, the weight of the knowledge, the weight of the indecision, it was all utterly palpable. I can't wait to see what else you do with this most excellent concept.

I wasn't breathing by the end of this either. Beautifully written...very insightful...true to character...cannot wait for the next one. Great idea!!!

There are so many great touches here, like Pam accusing Jim of being drunk and then hearing "snorkel shot!" from the boat's interior. Roy triumphantly saying that she was the one delaying this time is pretty amusing. CLUELESS! ;)
How I wish Jim had confessed earlier. Barring that, how I wish that Pam had found her bravery sooner. But at least it's nice to read about. I look forward to the other chapters.

i am so excited that you're writing this. i pretty much always love your stories and this looks promising. i just have to tell you that i'm glad you're just rewriting the moment. it's cool to think about how those confession moments could have changed but then leave it to work itself out. too often we get the changed confession and then a worn out story about how they work it out. i'm glad that we get something fresh and new and a series of unrelated one shots. i can't wait for you to update, i'm way excited!
