Oh Pam…
I am honestly surprised Jim didn’t break up with Lisa when he met Pam because he fell in love with her!

I know it's been a while since you posted the last chapter and you won't be continuing this story, but I wanted to tell you that I really liked it. And I caught myself thinking (and I don't know why) that my view of what was right and wrong changed. Having Jim be the fianc? and having him kiss Pam, I thought was totally horrible. Maybe because you made Lisa a non-toxic person. So yes, I got the feeling that Jim cheated on Lisa. That feeling I didn't get when Pam was the fianc?e.

DON'T LET THE WELL OF HOPE RUN DRY PAM!

Also this is wonderful and I am totally here for the role reversal.

As usual, you have a way to use words to paint a picture. I am starting to understand that it is a talent which you are born with, and then have to work your tail off to refine. Much like an athlete may be born with natural skills, if he doesn't put in the hours........ Just curious, how many hours per week do you spend writing? My hat is off to a literary athlete!

I'm really enjoying this story so far. Please continue. Also, are you the same ladama who has made fanvids for The Office that I've seen on YouTube, like Pampong and The Silence?I f so, you are multitalented and I doubly salute you! You rock!

Author's Response: Ha, yeah that's me, I sure thought I was a fanvid wizkid with my Windows Movie Maker! I think my video editing days are over but it was a lot of fun, I'm sad that so many JAM videos are no longer posted but I plan to keep mine up. Thanks so much for your comments :-)

Hey idnaoj80.... first off, thank you SO SO much for writing about the site being supposed to go down. I had NO idea and I'll tell you, it alarmed me and made me seriously feel ill (honestly, had to take a Zofran for the nausea!) Anyhow, I depend on this site SO much. I think you know that I'm really ill and lately my health has been just so bad and honestly, on those days I spend most of my days (re)reading the wonderful works of the brilliant authors on this site. I know that there are other sites, FF.net and Archive of our Own but just my opinion, those sites lack the quality AND the quantity of Office fics that we have here. Anyhow, thankfully I know Sally who runs this site so I messaged her and also put a message on the FB page asking for info. You are correct that it is scheduled to go down if they don't get donations. The sad thing is that the amount I was told they need isn't unmanageable... especially if the word gets our that the donations are needed and continur to be needed because the amount goes up, not by much but it does go up every month. There is a donation link in the forum and right now it's slipping my mind exactly how to get to it but I'm pretty positive you can read the posts in the forum and donate (it goes through Paypal and 100% of donations go directly to Dreamhost. No one from MTT can even touch it.) Anyhow, idnaoj80, if you or anyone else are interested in donating, first PLEASE DO consider donating anyone that is able. I think there may be a minimum donation of $10, but if you can, PLEASE do. There is a TREMENDOUS amount of work that has gone into this site through the years. Even if you put aside all the work it was creating and maintaining the site, all the volunteers making sure that things went smoothly and working out the kinks and also making certain the the work posted was quality and not somewhat crappy, sloppy works that aren't worth the time. Setting that aside and just thinking of all the hours and creative energy, frustation through writers block etc, there's no way with all that time and energy lovingly put into this site that we should allow it to slip away. Anyhow, so if anyone would like to know how to find the donation link, leave a message or email me at ftmill16@aol.com or something and I will be absolutely thrilled to direct you to the link and keep this site up and running. Oh and Lamada, I'm sorry for breaking into your reviews with this but since it was posted here I really wanted to answer here.

Author's Response: No problem, be on the look out for an email from me, this site has meant a lot to me as well and I would like to help keep it going! I'd also be happy to signal boost the call for donations on my fansite, Flonkerton, it still gets a few visitors a day and who know maybe a couple of them feel generous!

I love this. I love to read something new. :)

Author's Response: Ha, I wouldn't call this story "new", but thank you.

Well I hope these reviews keep encouraging you to finish this story, because I'm really enjoying it!!

Author's Response: Yes, yes it does. I'm a bit of a review whore, actually. Is that bad?

I can't believe I never saw this one!  It's really good.  I like how Jim is trying to figure out why, but it would be difficult for him to figure out the real reason!

It seems like Lisa is a big change from Roy, though!  Roy's not the right guy for Pam, but Lisa seems right for Jim.  That makes it all so much more difficult.  Poor Pam.

I like her choice of an escape vacation, and how you have her tell him she's leaving instead of the sneak attack ILY and leaving.

This is like, really REALLY good. I like how you're not just taking the template the show gave and doing an easy switch. You actually created new situations, drama, characters, etc. Just really good! I can't wait for more.

Author's Response: Thanks, I'm always worried this will start looking too much like a simple switch of Jim and Pam's situations, but comments like this reassure it's not so that's good :)

I'm agreeing with everyone when I say that I'm really fascinated by this. I love that you've given it it's own unique spin and I absolutely adore the voice you've given Pam, it makes me root for her more than I usually do. Heh. Great job; I can't wait to read more.

Author's Response: What actually inspired this story was a question I saw on a message board that asked if people would cheer for a woman pining away for years for an engaged man the same way people cheered for Jim in season 2, so I'm happy to read that you are rooting for the single Pam in my story here. Thanks!

This is really good. Great idea and I love that you have them in the same places but the dialogue is different. I really want to dislike Lisa, but I feel like that's not gonna happen :) Can't wait to see what's going to happen!

Author's Response: Part of me wishes I could villainize Lisa, it would make it easier to write, but I have to figure if Jim's about to marry her, she has to be pretty nice, cool, good sense of humor, etc. Thanks for commenting!

I'm very much looking forward to how this story turns out. I'm really glad that the role reversal isn't just a mirror image, and retains your unique spin on Pam and Jim's swapped situations. Please update soon!

Don't know how I missed this first time around. I love the way it mirrors CN to a point - with Pam's declration being her leaving and not her feelings for him.

wow. this is really really interesting. and i feel sorry for pam. i can't seem to stop feeling sorry for pam, no matter what situation she is in. i really want more, this role reversal is so interesting to read.

What a great alternate.  I like how different things really are.  Lisa actually a good person for Jim; Pam telling Jim she was leaving, but not making the confession (at least yet), etc.

Oh, lovely. I mean, I'm wincing, almost in tears because the serious kink here is that fact that when it all boils down to the basics, Jim seems to be...braver than Pam. And in this situation, Pam doesn't stand a chance [of being even braver, that is] because Lisa seems a genuinely likeable person, while Roy...well, back in season two I would've loved it when we could punch him.

But I can't wait to see where you go with this. The thought process you've got Pam having is absolutely brilliant and so in-character it's mildly unnerving, and I really can't wait to see how you've got this very same, cautious Pam doing things from here. If they kiss. What Jim thinks. What Jim does, because that will be freaking amazing to see if done right.

Especially in around four chapters? I know this'll be very good.

Very good. ;)

Can't wait for an update!!

ohmigoshyouhavetokeepgoingwiththis!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I absolutely love the idea of a role reversal fic! And yeah this would be awesome to see Jim deny his feelings for pam and the kiss, oh man! keep going!

Oh.  Ouch.

Really great job.  I like that you made Jim's fiance someone (at least at this point) who actually seems good for him.

Can't wait to see where you go with this!
