Karen isn't really paying that much attention to how much attention Jim is giving to Pam. Much like last week's episode, really!
I think you had a little problem in these lines: "She blushed a bit and let her hand fall back into her lap. “I’m beginning to see why teachers used to hit kids with rulers,” he said. “You don’t want to make the same mistake twice when that’s your punishment.”" Is this really what he said, or she said? It seems like it should be she, or maybe that something is missing...?
Maybe Pam and Jim should knit themselves a 2 person sleeping bag. Karen can knit herself a single. What? No good? Works for me.
Anyway, I'm enjoying this.

Jim knitting? Those long fingers and beautiful hands? I'm in love! BTW -- I like the detail about big needles & yarn for beginner projects so you see some quick progress!
