This is a really great story and so different. It hurts a bit that Jim is with Karen long enough to be engaged & almost marry but that passed quickly. Jim and Pam are meant to be and the way you wrote them, trying to let each other go but couldn't do it...was perfect. I love the second person POV and Jim getting angry when he thought that Pam had given up on him (which is his fault). Thanks for writing!

Really enjoyed this - although I do feel sorry for Karen in this scenario! Talk about getting down to the wire - I'm so glad Pam was at home when he decided to go see her.

Thank you thank you! The angst is killing me so much I feel that I live on the ledge (the "is Jim gonna get a clue" ledge that is - I moved to that one after getting off the "is pam gonna get a clue" ledge). This was lovely and very well done.

I need to say something more elegant than 'Yay!'... Yeah, not happening. I especially loved these two lines though--

So SO good! I especially love the last line because it just gets to the inevitability of this whole relationship. Yes, they're stuck in this vicious circle of who can be stubborn longest, but everyone involved (read: get a clue, Karen) knows that someone's going give in in the end. Awesome. Very nicely done!

Awww. I feel badly for Karen, because she has no idea. I actually don't think Jim would get this far with Karen if he still felt this way about Pam AND Pam had made it clear that she felt the same way with her letters.
But if you're assuming that could happen, it's better to cancel the wedding the day before than not at all!
So Resistance is Futile for Jim in the loving Pam department? I hope this week's episode (and, if need be, the 1st season 4 episode) bear this out. (Pray to Thor himself.)
