Great heartbreaking stories like this help pay for the fluff. Just don't make it a habit, okay?

Ouch - "55 words on them breaking up. Maybe?"  I see this as a little teeny tiny itsy-bitsy pebble in the road to their future.  No need for a breakup over lunch with an ex. (Great story!)

Author's Response: I think you're exactly right! Just a minor bump in the road! Thanks for reading and responding! :-)

Yikes. This is very realistic, though. It can't just be immediately smooth-sailing for them - Karen still needs to be dealt with. Hopefully Pam will be forgiving...

Nicely done! I love Pam's inner conflict.

Author's Response: Thanks Semby! I'm already wondering what torture the Office writers will put Jim and Pam through, but I like writing about it so *I* can control the outcome which always = JAM. :-) Thanks for responding!

No!They won't break up, it is just them understanding and having a thoughtful argument. THey are never allowed to break up. I have only recently come to terms with the idea that they are allowed to fight :P

Author's Response: haha...and they are only allowed 30 seconds or 55 words to fight in. lol. No longer than that. Thanks for the always fun review EmilyHalpert!

How did you get me all on edge in 55 words? As usual, you're a maestro of J/P dialogue. And, as for what she knows, I'm going with: she knows he's truly sorry; didn't tell her because he was afraid she'd think it meant something it didn't; boyfriend is on a learning curve - she needs to give him a chance; and most of all, that the boy freaking loves her, so she should just let it go and kiss him already. That's exactly what you had in mind, right? RIGHT? Well done, as ever, LoveFool.
