I really struggled with having their parents there, especially leaving Pam's mom out of the event. But, I did decide on leaving them out because I felt like this should be something just between Jim and Pam, a sacred moment between two soulmates.
I'm glad you're enjoying this and there will be at least a couple more chapters, so I hope you enjoy those too.
