All of these are making me laugh, unlike some real cold openings.

Author's Response: Wow, thank you.

Jim's good. Actually, you're good. Keep them coming!

Author's Response: Thanks! I've got a few more percolating... but I'm trying to work out the last act of Employee Withholding, which for some reason is proving to be very difficult. Thanks again!

I think my favorite thing about these is the fact that it's funny all the way through, but the end is almost always something that makes me laugh out loud. seriously?

"This board won't drive itself to New York" LOL

Author's Response: Hey, thank you! I REALLY try to make it that it isn't just a joke at the end. There has to be little throw away lines in it and little characater bits that will (hopefully) make people laugh. I'm really glad you like them. Again, you folks make my days better. Thanks again!

I absolutely agree with Shass, K.  It's talented writers like the two of you who make my work day infinitely more enjoyable.  The Strike has me bummed, too.  For what it's worth, I fired off two letters and an e-mail to the powers that be at NBC, etc. yesterday.  It's all very frustrating.  Thanks for another great installment.

Author's Response: That's great, Nanreg. I gotta do that. I signed a petition at the WGA site yesterday, but I have to do more. And thank you. You people make me feel so good about writing these things.

Dude , if I were you, I'd fly out to LA, find Greg Daniels on the picket line and ask him for a job. You are really, seriously talented.

Author's Response: WOW. Thanks Shass! Not sure how receptive he would be right now...lol... That means a lot for you to say that. God, I wish. I would love nothing more than to write for this show. Well. I've taken some steps in that direction... geting myself out there. I keep hoping... Thank you, Shass. You're the best...
