Wow, I think this is my favorite chapter of all. For me, you turned around the angst-fest of the Merger, by putting it in Jim's perspective at the time, and surrounding it with the "now".
Author's Response: You know it's funny, I hated Jim in this scene the first time I saw it because I just thought he was being so stupid, but the more I watched it, the more I became intrigued by trying to figure out what would make him act that way. So I think that's what inspired this version of the scene.
