Okay, it was your first fic? Because I was first going to say this was like the best Pam/Merger story I've read. Still is. Just right now shock you did it on your first try. It was totally breaking my heart even more than the episode did.
Author's Response: :O Thank you for those amazing compliments! They made my day.

What an excellent job. I would have had no idea that this was your first fic if you hadn't written that. There are so many excellent things about this story, but I'll just mention a couple.
These lines were wonderful: "After months of becoming Fancy New Beesly, Pam can’t deny that she’s moving on, too. She just never thought it would be without him."
And I love the parallels you have in here, for example the "She's not The One..." of the last piece parallels Pam's dream at the beginning of the story.
Really fantastic job -- welcome aboard. ;)
Author's Response: Wow. Thank you very much! <3

Ouch. Ouch. Ouch! Argh, poor Pam. And Jim. I don't think there's much out there about Pam's thoughts when she broke off the wedding, so I'm glad you wrote about it.
I thought this line really cut to the heart of how she seemed to feel that day:
After months of becoming Fancy New Beesly, Pam can’t deny that she’s moving on, too. She just never thought it would be without him.
And: "“I’m in love with you”? “Don’t do this”? “She’s not The One for you, I am”?
Oh, if only she had said one of those things. Oh well. I guess we had to wait for hot coals to make an appearance.
So, it hurts. But in a very real, in character way. So... good job. Any plans to write fluff? ;)
Author's Response: Thank you!! I really appreciate your comments, because you're one of my favorite JAM fic authors.rnrnI might write fluff when my life stops being Pam Beesly season 3 and turns into Pam Beesly season 4, ha ha. ;)
