great job...it is nice to see all points of view...i feel though that jim might not have let karen down that quickly...i mean yes he didn't love her, but i think he liked her and respected her!! just my opinion...can't wait for more
Author's Response: I wondered about it in the show. I read somewhere (probably here) that it's a 3 hour drive from Scranton to N.Y. With the interviews in the morning, the drama with Jan, the break-up, ad the drive-back, I figured he'd have to dump her fast to make it back during the workday.

I just love this story. I really do. You mention so many perfect little details that I can't recall reading before (TP by his ear, rating a tie, etc.). Simply put, this makes me happy.
