The first one you mentioned kind of just came to me half finished and at first I was like, that doesn't even make sense, but then I thought about it longer, and now I not only think it makes sense, but I also think it's the way Pam would think. What a gorgeous line. Oh and this:
The bright, midday sun was hitting his forearms right where his rolled-up sleeves gave way to bare arm. She felt her knees trembling a little bit, and laid her hands across them to make them stop.
Um...yeah. That's the stuff.
I'm really enjoying this. I will definitely add this to my favorites.
