I. Want. Pam's. Job.

Roy is leaving? Interesante... GO JIM, GO! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE?

Author's Response: My job is terrible, so I'm pretty much jealous of Pam. Her fictional life is cooler than my real one.

I have been noticing the graduation from the two of them simply signing their names at the end of the letters to 'with love' and now 'love'.  Also, how much they miss each other is becoming more and more evident with each letter. Jim is so going to California with this week of vacation time.  I know it!

Author's Response: The 'with love' to 'love' transition was something I was hoping people would pick up on. Yay. :)

I love how romantic this is. I can totally see Jim and Pam being more honest with each other by letters than they would be if they were face-to-face. I really hope you update this soon because I really enjoy this story and it brightens my day up!

Author's Response: I'm glad it brightens your day. Sometimes it brightens mine when I'm writing it (when it's a no-writer's block kind of day). :)

The 'garbage punch' is a good rule to live by.  Mine is never to drink anything served out of a washing machine.  Also a true story.  (Buy the plane ticket, Jim!!!)

Author's Response: Washing machine? Wow, I'll have to keep that one in mind (even though I don't think that one comes up that often).

No, no, no Jim! You don't have to think about this!! Just go!

So sweet he puts a picture of him and Pam on his desk!

Great job, please keep going!!

Author's Response: Thank you. :) More coming soon, no need to worry about that.

I'm really enjoying this story, carbondalien, and shame on me for not reviewing sooner.  I love the idea of these two communicating this way - old-fashioned letter writing.  So intimate, so romantic - regardless of what is written, but I also think you have the tone of what these letters might be down perfectly!  Chatty, friendly, newsy - but with so much more bubbling underneath.  Loving the quick updates, too, and hurray for Roy splitting town for a week!

Author's Response: There's just something about letter writing, isn't there? Whatever happened to love letters, anyway? Email and text messages killed romance.

I've really been enjoying this story. I love the back and forth with the letters and you really have their voices down. The little hints are so great, like Pam saying she's told Maddie all about Jim, how she worked really hard on his painting. I can't help but hope that he does go visit her, Pam kicks Roy to the curb and they live happily ever after in CA. But I'm just a sap. Anyways, keep up the good work and I look forward to reading more!

Author's Response: The letters were tough to do. I wanted to make sure I had the proper tone and subtext going on in each one, so each one took a few edits to get right, even if it was just swapping out one word for another. I'm glad people are liking them (and the whole story overall). :)

I need more STAT..realy great stuff here. I really hope Jim's bound for the coast.

Author's Response: I've been updating pretty regularly and I don't see that stopping any time soon. I'm glad you're enjoying my little story here. :)
