Love that you did the Jim/Pam postcards--and even more that they're still up.

The Edge of Something Big postcard is amazing. What a find! I love PostSecret and this story, so... Win-win.
Win.

Author's Response: That one always has stuck with me. So glad its worthy of three wins!

Pam's feelings at seeing her secret posted online, are kind of the same way I felt when I posted my first fanfic story. I still feel that way sometimes, actually. Like what if someone from my RL sees my stuff and knows it's me? Freaks me out. Anyway, nice job again with the pics. :)

Author's Response: Ihad a secret posted online and I freaked. Like Pam. Yeah, that part was really true to life. I am still scared someone will be like "yo is this your secret" and it was posted like a year ago.

This story reminds me of a U2 lyric "A secret is something you tell another person." from "The FLY.  I think that is applicable to this story.

Even though this chapted is filled w/ Pam's sadness about Jim leaving, she still believed that she could move on. Until she saw Jim's response to her postcard. I think Pam's "hope" of moving on was reasonable at the time, and then Jim's response crushes the hope just a little. So typical of the characters. Just when they think they can get on w/ their lives w/o each other, something happens. Off to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Can't place that song, but I may have to go listen to it, because it seems right for this story.

I figured Pam probably needed to believe she could move on. I'm sure it was heartbreaking, but it was like, even afer she sent off her postcard, she probably never thought anything would come from it. And, just she needed to move on, because Jim had. And then she sees the postcard.

Oh great chapter. I can't wait to read when pam sees jim's card

Author's Response: Hehe, I was kind of evil for dragging it out again. :)

That's all we get?!  Gah!  You're torturing me!  I love this story so much.  It's so gorgeous and utterly unlike any other thing you've written or any other take I've seen on getting them together pre-Karen.

Author's Response: That's all you get for today. You just have to be patient :) I am evil like that. Even so, I pretty much love this review. Like, yeah. Its great. :D Thanks!

I feel like we're on the edge of something big here too........

twss?

Long story long (guess who was watching Broken Car video...) I heart you.  I'm still waiting for more missy..... and I've already seen more!! :)  Oops.  I can be greedy in that way right?  Part of my superbeta cape if you will?

Author's Response: Shush, I responded to this. Yeah, I did. You can always be greedy. It is part of your duties in fact. Duties /Chandler laugh.

Lovely.  I'm glad you put the 'reminder' postcards up, too.  It's not that I don't remember, and I need a reminder, it's that I just like to look at them again!  And I'm not going to that site!  I'd be on it forever! (TWHS)

I love the "edge of something big" one.  It looks like Niagara Falls; what a perfect choice of a real postcard for this.

It's neat that Pam thinks everyone will recognize her secret; I could see feeling like that, but in reality, most people don't know about the site, and wouldn't even dream that someone they know has something on there!

Anyway, nice job! :)

Author's Response:

Yeah, I kind of like looking at them also (what, I'm proud that I made them!)

Sometimes, you really wonder what significance the postcard designs have for the person who sent it in. Like, was that a real picture, how did they distort it, how did they choose it. Yeah, I think about it too much. And then the message. Because its like, yeah, something huge and big, but I want you beside me.

Oh, and so, I've toally sent in like three secrets, and I saw one of them posted, and I freaked. I so thought everyone would know it was mine. I was afraid to check my email. I was certain someone was going to say "ha, this looks like your handwriting" and it wasn't just a generic secret, it was something that, like, it felt so obvious that it was mine and was so easily identifiable as mine. I seriously was so scared. I did nearly contact PS to have him take it down, it scared me so much. But the the day passed. And the week. And nothing happened. And then new secrets were posted and I gave a huge sigh of relief. (although it still terrifies me a bit if I think about it)

Thanks as always!
