This is great. Absolutely wonderful. I like Jim freely admitting he made several dick moves when it came to Karen, but ultimately letting himself off the hook- it feels very much in-character for him. Yay!

I could read first date stories every day and never tire of them, especially when they are as well written as this one is. I liked your version of the break-up, and I also liked your backstory as to what Jim was thinking between Beach Games and The Job. Great job!

I love the paragraph where he's thinking about their kiss on casino night, and how for that brief moment of time he was "unconditionally happy" and that makes him willing to take another chance to get that feeling back. Well done.
And really, these moments of the show were the best ever, so don't feel overindulgent about revisiting and filling in the blanks the way you see fit. Thanks for sharing it with the rest of us!
