The hard core rapper had me. The hubby has asked 4 times what is so funny. I can't even explain it to him, I'm still laughing.

Author's Response: Oh yay, I'm glad you liked it! Sorry your hubs thinks you're a bit off now, but join the club! ;)

Congratulations, my friend. You made me snort, cringe, and downright laugh my head off. Best one is definitely a tie between TMI Phyllis and the rap one, but the farting one is a very close second... ahhh, I don't know! I loved them all. Fantastic job.

Author's Response: Yay! Thanks, buddy - I'm so glad you liked this! I love when Phyllis gets feisty, and her crush on Jim - while weirding me out - makes me laugh too. And farts...farts are funny, as we've discussed. Thank you as always! :D

Aww. I love so much about the things this fic chooses to be. Reading should be fun, and this most definitely was.I really liked the alternating structure with the blushes, and then that lovely double shot at the end. And, of course, DJ Jazzy Jim is adorkable.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm really glad you got a kick out of this, Blanca! :)

This was beyond adorable. Your Jim/Pam dialog is some of the best ever, and these little snippets were purely and truly awesome.  Very well done my friend :)

Author's Response: From a master of Pim dialogue this is a high compliment - thanks friend! Glad you enjoyed!

Ok, all the chapters have been great, but this one was AWESOME!

Author's Response: Aw, thanks a lot! :)

Oh snap... this is just what the doctor ordered for a gray and cold January day, my friend! Hilarious!

I think that, gun to my head, my favorite vignette would have to be the, uh... fourth one. You know the one I mean. I can honestly say that was the first fic I've ever read involving an accidental...um... yeah. And it totally worked. Because we've all been there--even if we'd never admit it. Reminds me of the advice my dad told me before I got married: "Son," he said, "One of these days your wife is going to fart in bed, and you're just going to have to deal with it."

Sage wisdom, no?

*whispers* Also? The shoe size thing? Um... not true.

*sigh*

:D

Author's Response: Thanks, buddy! Glad you enjoyed it. As I said on the boards, apparently my skill lies in writing fights and farts. Could be worse, I guess. ;) You're right - you're together with someone long enough, THAT happens. The best couples, IMHO, just laugh at each other when it does. And as for that whispered bit...umm...we'll just leave that be. :) Gracias again!

lol, this is a funny one. I was reading an article yesterday about couples and their, um, bathroom habits -- you know, what they're comfortable doing in front of the other, etc., and my little fangirl brain thought, "I wonder what Jim and Pam do in this situation?" The one part of this story kind of addresses that. It's good to see that embarassing moments like this don't just happen to me.

Author's Response: Thanks a lot! And no, Mountaineers02, I embarass myself regularly, so no worries. Having been married a few year cohabitating is second nature, but it's most definitely a learning curve. :) Thank you again!

And a big Happy New Year to you, Little Comment!  You just seriously made my day.  This was so adorable, so funny, so perfect.  If I start with quoting of favorite passages, this review will turn epic.  You are amazing.  That is all.

Author's Response: Aw, thanks Nan - and ditto! I figure it was time for something lighthearted again. :)

Oh my God, these were all hilarious! My favorite part was definitely Pam saying "word." You continue to spew awesomeness, and I continue to beg you to write more. :D

Author's Response: Thank you! If I'm spewing something, I'm glad it's awesomeness. :) Glad you enjoyed!

Bwahahahahahaahha. (Only thing is, I can't see Pam getting that embarassed over "breaking wind" as Michael calls it.)

My favorite was the comic books - perfect - and priceless. And in order.

Great fun, please keep 'em coming.

Author's Response: Thanks! And after awhile a toot's a toot, but that first one - especially if you're in bed? - is always a biotch. ;) Glad you liked the comics bit!

Ha! Fabulous chapter. Your writing style is so easy and well-paced, you really have a knack for the banter.

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I appreciate that; dialogue is what I always work hardest on. :)

Aww, they are a team now.

I can't believe you wrote a bit about pooting.  That's.. just... wow.  I have... to... phone...

Author's Response: Really? That was what started the whole thing. I keeps it real, my friend. :) Thanks!

these continue to be beyond amazing. i implore you to keep going.
the fight chapter was so real, i officially no longer give you permission to doubt yourself as a writer. ever again. :)

Author's Response: Thanks, JamFan4! I'm having a great time with this because there are just so many little nooks and crannies to explore in the Pim dynamic. And thank you so much for the kind words re: doubting myself - I always will, but I'm glad what I produce makes people so happy. :)

DUDE! How did I not see this update?!  And what a doozy.  This is absolute perfection.  You've written Jim really well here, all of his love for her even if it comes with great pain.  Well done friend! (I think we can leave off the "new" at this point, eh?)

Author's Response: I don't know! I think I posted it on a Saturday night or something lame, but I get very eager to let my little one-shots free on MTT. :) Thanks so much, as always, and yes - I think we've established ourselves safely as "just" friends. (And may I say I couldn't be happier about that? :) )

Fantastic chapter!! I loved that even though it's told in third person, it has so much of Jim's voice in it. And the paragraph about the role he's pigeonholed himself into was so relateable and easily understandable; I loved it, and how he just felt so hopeless that he didn't bother to try and dig himself out. Last chapter was a tough act to follow, but this followed it beautifully. Wonderful job!

Author's Response: Well thank you, pal! I just wanted a little peek into s2 distraught!Jim, so I'm really glad it worked for you. The last chapter was something the likes of which I'm still very humbled by, as you well know, but I'm happy that this was a good follow-up. :)

Little Comment!  I've been thinking about you and here you are with another fantastic, heartbreaking, unbelievably good update.  Wow--how is it that this angst hurts so good?!  Funny thing--I was just about to call you out on quoting Top Gun, and then you did it yourself :)  Excellent job, my friend.

Author's Response: Thanks as always, Nan! Sorry I keep dishing out the angst, but I guess I had residual sadness from writing their fight. ;) I'm so happy you're still enjoying this and sticking with me!

Seems like a lot of people are going back to S2 lately, and I'm really enjoying all these little trips back in time. This was no exception. Poor Jim. I don't know why I enjoy seeing him so tortured, but it's like catnip, or crack. I just want to reach out and pat his hand and tell him it's all going to work out eventually. Loved the Stockhom syndrome reference and the line "she was such a needy jailer." That's our Pam all right.

Sounds like you had a lot of inspirations for this, and they came together nicely. Great work, as always.

Author's Response: Thank you, Blanca! As a latecomer to TO I never got to explore s2 Jim while it was happening, so to go back to it every now and again is nice. Thanks for all your kind words!

I was so excited when I stopped by tonight and saw you'd added another chapter, and this one did not disappoint. Jim's reaction to his "hopeless" situation is spot on perfect. The last lines were so painful (in a good writing sort of way).

And just because:
“Is it supposed to be this hard?”
TWSS.

More, more!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm really pleased you enjoyed it. And yeah, I TWSS'ed it my mind too...what can you do? :)

This is just another exceptionally good chapter.  I absolutely loved your turns of phrase in this one:  needy jailor, Stockholm syndrome at its purest...  And the closing lines are wonderful.

Wow.  Your presentation of the inevitable explosion between Pam and Jim was just amazing.  I love how reluctantly they are both drawn into the argument, yet how efficiently they both wound each other.  Good arc to the chapter.

Author's Response: Thanks a lot! I tried to build momentum into their blow-up and ease them back out slowly, so I'm glad that worked for you. I appreciate this!
