Okay, I think the proposal book may have beaten the proposal in the rain at the gas station. Hee. And haha, you know, did not expect it to end with sex on the floor with a vibrator guest star!

These last two chapters were a lovely sendoff to a great story. You celebrated all that these two were and have become and I was so glad to see all the characters come together. Jim bribing Kelly with a bag was perfect and I love how he asked for permission of both Pam's parents and Pam's friends. I think the growth that you showed regarding that as well was wonderful. Pam's relationship will never be perfect, but it's great that it changed for the better and that she'll always have her "real" family to back her up.

I was also glad to get a bookend to the Roy story, even if it created some awkwardness between Pam and Jim.  I really think you tied up so many stories, though really, you tied up their past and got them ready for the future and I really would love to see what this future holds. In other words, SEQUEL YES PLEASE YES!

More love for the music you selected. Yes, I signed up just so I could hear it. I loved The Stills song and I've never heard that version of "Into Dust", only Mazzy Star's. See, this is another reason you need to do a sequel. More music!

But really, it's all just been a pleasure reading this and getting to know your versions of Jim and Pam and all the rest of the crew. Good luck with the new semester and maybe make some time for us when you can. If you ever need any help or beta work, feel free to message me.

Author's Response: It is so wonderful to hear that you were pleased with how this story came to an end, and thank you for the beta offer. It was a little scary, posting these last 25 chapters without another set of eyes to glance over it and find all of those little grammatical errors or pointless jokes that may not translate as I had originally intended because, man do I have some weird thoughts sometimes. And the smut, holy goodness. So, so nervous. AH!

I'm glad you enjoyed the music as well, because nothing inspires me to write (well, besides amazing comments such as this one) like a dang good song. I happened to be listening to "Into Dust" while driving to work, and the entire story just started flying through my head, as I was brainstorming "final chapter" ideas at the time- probably not safe while driving, but whatever. And so yes, I thought- "Ah! Perfect. Flashbacks. I hope it will work, because it's a little difficult to get those images just by reading, but oh- we'll see."

Sequel! Ah, yes. Believe it or not, after reading through the past couple of reviews, I have started jotting down plot ideas just in case I decide to start writing again. I do spend a lot of time at MY Caribou Coffee, which just has this atmosphere that makes me want to write something. Maybe it's the fireplace. Maybe it's the espresso putting my brain into overdrive- I don't know. But I do feel like this AU Jim and Pam have a lot of growing to do together, and I would love to share the rest of their story with all of you. Besides, we still have to meet this "crazy" sister of hers.

I'm glad you didn't mind the reappearance of Roy- I felt like Pam still had some underlying issues with her past and the fact that he moved on so quickly. She just needed a little reminder that she really was meant to be with Jim, and that she's moved on to something far better. And oh, she has grown so much, and it's so great that she's had an amazing supporting cast (Jim, Angela, Kelly, and then Karen) to help her along. I'm glad you enjoyed the idea of those three ladies being friends with Pam. I always hate to see Karen pictured as "the enemy", so I'm glad I got to put her character to good use in this story.

It has been such a wonderful treat to read all of your reviews, and I am going to miss them oh, so much. Thank you for everything!

I'm really going to miss this story. It was nice to have a stress-free, long story that was just about two people meeting and how their relationship develops without unnecessary angst and things. It was refreshing. And of course, it was about where I'm from, and I've loved imagining Pam and Jim in the same places I've been.

This ending was so, so sweet and hot and great =)

Author's Response: I'm so happy you enjoyed it, and that you were able to relate to some of the images in this story. Gotta love the Mid-west! Except right now, because it's a wee bit cold today, and expected to get worse by the end of the week. Agh, I can't take it anymore. I want a winter home in Florida where I can hibernate and write. Write, write, write.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. I'm glad you were pleased with the ending. :)

I don't think that HSPam with Dream List even knew how perfect Jim would be!!
I love love love your story and have a sad face that it is all finished!! You finished it rather perfectly though, so big ups right there.
How fantastic was that proposal? The book of their love affair ending with stick-figure Jim and a ring!! Awwww!! Just like the I love you book of poems he gave her earlier... amazing.
Thank you for sharing your imagination here! It was wonderful!
I'm going to fully support any more writings you want to post here. A sequel could be fun... and I read in other reviews of a Jim-Fantasy story... Pam and I would both love that, yummy!
SO, please feel better before your birthday, and do not stay away too long!

Author's Response: Hey Aivilo, thank you so much for reading and following the story through its end. I'm pleased to hear that you are happy with how it all turned out. I do feel like there is more to this A/U Jim and Pam, and there are a few ideas bouncing around in my head, so a sequel may just wind up being inevitable after all...

I'm so glad you liked the proposal. Man, it was so difficult trying to come up with the perfect engagement story that hadn't already been done before, so I prayed that this would satisfy. And good news- I am feeling better in time for my birthday, so that may just put me in a good enough mood to start writing again after school picks up and I get settled. Thank you so much for the wonderful review, and I hope to hear from you soon if I do decide to go through with that sequel. ;)

"Mind blowing indeed".

That says it all.  This story was entertaining, hot, sweet and a virtual page turner from beginning to end.  I really do hope you write another story because you have an engaging writing style.

Author's Response: Wow. Thank you so much! I'm so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the story, and it definitely encourages me to continue writing.

Pam, you're a brat. Really. You should have dropped it before you went upstairs. Ooooooh, I'm so upset with her! :) Hope your cold runs its course soon.

Author's Response: Ha-ha. Oh, Pam, that's what you get for being so nosy. Karma, karma, karma.

And thanks for the get well wishes, I am feeling a little better today. :)

Soooo is it your goal to kill us all dead before you kill us all dead by finishing it up? Not cool. So not cool because the ending.. slayed me. Aww. :(

But really. Awesome job. I loved how Pam kept pestering Kelly for answers and just as she decides she doesn't want to know, Kelly spills the beans. Ha. Karma, Pam, is a bitch.

I'm still really sad this will end soon but I have loved every single bit of it and it's really been a treat to read it. I hope school doesn't keep you away from the archive for too long and that the new episodes inspire even more gems. :)

Also: ahem. Sequel? Maybe? Possibly? ;)

Author's Response: Ha-ha. Oh, come on, you know you all wanted to see them work through a little bit of angst before the story came to a close. Right? Right??

I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter and yes, karma is a bitch, Pam. That's what she gets for being so nosy! Tsk-tsk.

I'm still brainstorming ideas for a possible sequel, although I'm not sure it will ever come to fruition. It all depends on how much everyone would like to continue with an A/U story, I guess. ;)

*thud*
That's the sound of me hitting the floor. This chapter wrenched my heart almost as much as Goodbye Toby.

Next chapter soon? Purty please?Benadryl and a Neti Pot work wonders, I tell ya! (I'm serious about the Neti Pot, though. The concept of it is gross, but it will kick a cold's butt.)

Author's Response: I've fallen into the Benadryl coma, but I have yet to try the Neti Pot. I'm willing to try anything to get rid of this gross head cold though, so thanks for the tip! I hope you enjoy the final chapter.

I hope you feel better! I hate hate hate head colds.

Wow what a chapter. I like that we jumped ahead to graduation and I love her waking him up to talk about her list. Roy's reappearance was nice too actually, although the tension now is pretty thick for the engagement. I'm kind of glad it didn't work out though so it can be more romantic next time. Poor Jim! Time for Pam to give him some sweet loving as a thank you and I'm sorry you didn't get to propose.

Glad we got to see Angela, Dwight and Kelly/Ryan again too!

Author's Response: Thank you for the get well wishes. I am feeling a little better today, although my head is still clogged up a bit and I can only hear well out of one ear. Such a drag, but Benadryl and I have become close friends.

I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter, and I hope you are pleased with how Pam and Jim make it all work out in the end.

Great job! As a Minnesotan, I also appreciate the Caribou reference!

Author's Response: Hey, Minnesota! How are you dealing with this weather? I'm so ready for summer to get here and it's only been a month since winter began, really. Ugh. I have actually worked at a Caribou Coffee before, so I'm somewhat partial to their coffee over Starbucks. Sorry, Pam.

That ending just wrecked me. Seriously. I'm gone.

That being said, I love the little hints of the actual show in this chapter. The "can I ask you a question?" followed by the thank you, Kelly's "your smile is weird" comment... Loved it all. You, my friend, are amazing.

I'm so sad that the next chapter will be the last, but damn, what a way to go lol

Author's Response: Good eye! I'm glad you noticed the ties to the show as I've sneaked them in here and there, trying to stay true to the original Pam and Jim. After all, it is the orignial PB&J that inspired this story. ;)

I hope you enjoy the ending, and thank you so much for reading and reviewing.

Ahhhhhh!!!

This chapter was perfection!  I loved how you captured the gut-wrenching awkwardness of Goodbye, Toby by having Roy drop in.  Brilliant!

Also, Jim's "Yeah...I was going to ask you tonight" broke my heart the same way him putting the ring away in GT did.

Fabulous work, Nightswept!!  I can't wait for more.

Author's Response: Aw, I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter and the sudden reappearance of Roy. You all should have suspected that he would drop in again before the story was over. Heh-heh. ;)

Thank you for reading, and for the wonderful review!

Firstly, Haha I like your idea about writing a short series on all the things we'd like to see Jim do, oh come on, you'd be so freaking awesome. I'd totally throw ideas at you and become your cheerleader lmao.

Now, omg this is so coming to an end and it makes me want to cry. I seriously have never enjoyed a series as much as this one.

You wrote Dwight so perfectly in this chapter, I was actually chuckling to myself as I read it, especially when he was in the yard with Pam and then on the roof, oh and checking the smoke alarms, you can just see him doing that.

I can’t believe Kelly told Pam, and how he was going to ask her tonight GUH… I must know what happens next before my head combusts.

Feel better chickypoo, I cannot wait until the next update ahhh!! Your fics make me hyper lol.

Author's Response: Ha-ha. Yes! We must start a short series of Jim fantasies. That would be amaaaazing!! /Kelly.

Oh, I am going to miss your comments oh, so much. I hope you are pleased with how it all ends, and let me know how you feel toward the idea of a possible sequel? Just something that's bouncing around in my mind for now. ;) Thank you for the get well wishes; I'm doing ok today. I don't know why, but around this time every year, I'm sick, and if I don't get rid of it by Saturday, that will make 7 years in a row that I'm sick on my birthday. Suck!

Okay, I don't have a huge comment this time, except that Jim Halpert in glasses is one of my ultimate fantasies. I know that makes me a bigger dork than anyone has a right to be, but the idea of that, to me, is so hot. Aahh! Please at least end the story with the "real" proposal. We know it's coming!

I know I've been a bad reader and haven't reviewed the past few chapters but I am reading this and loving it per usual! So good, you!

I really loved this chapter, by the way. The funny thing was that it seemed.. bittersweet, almost. I could sense that the end was near reading this, because, barring a kick-ass sequel or something, there's really nowhere for them to go. They're being pretty successful at the long-distance relationship and Pam's growing into this fucking awesome person that can cook and sew and ugh, I am so proud of her. Even if she's fictional, heh.

And JIM! Fucking Jim. Sigh. Anyway, yeah, I really loved this.. the random, sweet, sexy, and funny moments you portrayed in this is just really brilliant.

I'm not sure how I'd want it to end, and honestly, I think you would do an awesome job at that, whatever it may be so I'll leave it in your hands.

Also, I remember you saying once in a response to a review that you were thinking of a sequel.. I know school is starting up for you again but you should think about it. You're so awesome at this and I love this world you've created and yeah.. you need a distraction from the boring papers you have to write anyway, right? ;)

Author's Response: Yes, sadly the story has reached it's end. I thank you for taking the journey along with me and inspiring me with your wonderful, wonderful reviews.

I'm still tossing around sequel ideas in that crazy ol' head of mine. I know people are somewhat hesitant toward A/U stories, so I'm not sure if I want to continue with Chicago/Kenosha Jim and Pam or try something that directly ties to the show. Decisions, decisions. I do feel that this A/U Jim and Pam have a lot of adventures ahead, and would love to continue to share their story with all of you. Pam has slowly developed into her own person, but we all know that she (and Jim) have a plenty more growing up to do. So, we'll see...

Thank you for all of your wonderful, encouraging comments and pushing me along to keep writing everyday. You are truly amazing, my friend.

I'm unable to do check MTT for a day and look at what I get when I come back: 2 chapters! AND a new playlist. I'm going to miss this story, no doubt, but I'm also going to truly miss all this music. I love that song by The Weepies.

I enjoyed the fun and ease of the last chapter and I also enjoyed the seeds you dropped in this chapter. Jim encouraging Pam to focus on her illustrations, Pam's want to improve her cooking skills for the future, Pam speaking to her mother, the final ring conversation. All of this leading to more things in the future for Pam and Jim. I liked seeing Karen again and was amused by her gift to Pam, as well as Pam's reaction. And Jim's gift was a welcome complement to that gift too.

Oh and the cockroach scene was hilarious and so familiar. Though I'm the resident exterminator in my house.

I don't want to think of the story ending :( It's such a welcoming and comforting feeling to sit down with a new chapter every time you update. But all things must end. I'm not sure how I want to see it come to a close. Not on a proposal, I don't think, or even a wedding. I know these things will happen for them, but in this story, it's never been about the big things for their relationship, but more about the small ones. I can almost see it closing on music and keds just to keep it cyclical. I personally love glimpses into the couple's future when a story ends, but I'm not sure if that's something you were interested in doing. I'd also love to see more Angela and Kelly before you tie things up.

Ultimately, you continuously keep me happy with everything you bring about for Jim and Pam, so I feel anything you eventually offer up will be just right.  Looking forward to it!

Author's Response: And I am going to miss your wonderful, wonderful comments bringing me cheer and inspiration everyday. It's readers like you who have kept me going throughout this story, and I thank you for that.

I'm glad that you have continued to enjoy this story and the direction it has traveled. I have a few ideas about the ending, but I'm still not sure which path I'll take. Either way, I hope it satisfies. I promise we have not seen the last of Angela and Kelly. :)

I love this Pam, she took steps and now she speaks with her mom regularly. Good news, that. I also like that although Jim and Pam are dealing a lot better with their long-distance relationship, you've acknowledged that it still sucks.
I'm sad that we are nearing the end of this story... now what am I supposed to do while I wait for winter to melt away and summer to come back?? But I'll say this, I've missed Kelly and Angela last few chapters, I hope we haven't heard the last from Pam's 'family'. I also need, of course, more on that ring! Keep bringing the steamy too, it is always appreciated.
Oh, and BOO roaches!! Move Jim outta that apartment immediately! Yuck!

Author's Response: I'm so ready to kick winter to the curb, and we're only in month one. I'm starting to get all sick and sniffly and I hate it. Chicago is also under a "blizzard watch" tonight. Fun stuff.

I promise you haven't heard the last of Pam's family. They're in the latest chapter, in fact, and have a few secrets they've been asked to keep under wraps. ;)

I'm glad you are pleased with the new and improved Pam as she struggles toward finding her true self and tries to improve her relationship with her actual family. Aw. Our little Pam is growing up. Yay!

I am pretending you did not just say this is coming to an end, no, seriously no :( Come on, how can you do this to us? I do not care you have school; your fic is what gets me through the crappy weeks that I endure.

I freaking loved everything about this chapter. I am still enjoying Karen’s presence and love how she’s made Pam think about getting in touch with her Mom more, and teaching her to cook and sew. I so lol when Jim asked if she was training to be a 1950’s wife lmao.

Maybe I’m just a pervert, but I’d love to have seen Pam using Karen’s present (or Jim using it on her, oh yes, that is hotter, omg, next chapter don’t you think? Lmao)

Jim buying Pam a bed, that tots made me want to jump him lol.

The whole bet thing, and how he bought his ring with his first paycheck, guh, that seriously made my tummy do flips inside, that was so cute.

This has by far been my favorite series I have ever read. I hope you will continue writing stories like this, because you are phenomenal.

Author's Response: Your kind words have definitely inspired me to continue writing, and I thank you for your praise and encouragement. Seriously, as someone who is her own worst critic when it comes to penning this story, and is never satisfied with the end result, it really means a lot to hear that you are enjoying it so much. You are amazing.

I'm glad you have enjoyed Karen in this story and her influence on Pam's life as she heads into a new direction. That is what college is truly about- discovering your true self, and I'm glad Pam had a friend closeby to help her along the way. I really, really, really, really don't want to bring this story to a close, but I know I'll be a busy bee in the next couple of months and I'd hate to disappoint with lack of updates. Perhaps soon I shall begin a new chapter in the lives of Pam and Jim. We'll see... :)
