Bwah! This was great.

She didn't laugh when he told her he'd never been allowed to try Jell-O.

Although she did laugh when he told her his father called it "the instrument of the devil."

I had to stop reading at that point; I was laughing too hard. Loved the Dwangela/Jam traits that were evident in their offspring.

As always, great story.

HEE!  That was the first line I thought of.  It took me a while to simplify it.  I'm not expecting this to become an epic saga. :)

I'm very glad to know you liked it.

What a great distraction from angst-a-palooza. Too funny. Not usually such a fan of the 'JAM meets in the sandbox' genre, but you pulled it off with finesse - plenty of wit to balance the cute. So many great bits - jello as 'the instrument of the devil' particularly got me.

And, BTW, I totally agree - after all the psychological and narrative analysis, the good TV keep-em-hanging logic...the vexing question remains: WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH HER? This is freaking Jim for god's sake. Stamford, Shmamford...I'd be all over him like a bad coat.

Author's Response:

I am dying a slow painful death.  And it doesn't help that I'm working and for the last 2 wks have had to wait to download episodes on iTunes - and then find a way to sneak and watch.  Priorities you know.  ;)

Funny thing.  I'm really not a fan of these type of stories either.  I like my JAM straight up and uncomplicated - but I don't want to speculate and get my heart doubly broken.  I needed something to distract myself.

All I know is Pam better smarten up cause the line of women waiting in the wings is getting longer by the minute. ;)
